Black Knight Greatsword 20% chance drop
Black Knight Shield 5% chance drop
Note: The more humanity you have in the top left corner the better chance of dropping

The best way to get this sword is to first get the Serpent ring in Sen's Fortress that increases Drop chance and use some humanities. You'll have over 60% chance to get the sword.

@@HuhWhatHuhwhatHuh dude when you do this there isn’t a 100% chance of you getting the item. When I looked this up I thought there would be some sort of chest or something you could find it in. On top of that these enemies don’t respawn, so if you do kill him and don’t get the drop, you’re a bit shit outa luck. Maybe if he did this while showing off ways to increase your luck, like using humanity.

@@johnnyspiritosanto1648 dude I don't know if you are reading this but there is a way that is better than using humanity, you need to go to snake fortress to get a ring that boost your item discovery up to 420( it's located after the first fog gate, then go down where there are 3 rocks, then wait until you see that the wall is broken and then you will se the body with the ring) it's the best way in my opinion to get the 4 weapons

My first run I never got the sword or any other black knight weapon once, but I got the shield pretty early, which I just learned has a much lower drop rate lol.

I started a new game and managed to get every black Knight weapon (the sword 3 times lol) excluding the shield. I had 10 humanities and that increases the odds by 50% i believe.

I had seven humanities and still didn't get it Edit: I didn't know this but being human actually increases your chance. On my next playthrough I got it with three humanities.

@@brojoe8142 10 humanities is the max and also the item discovery caps at 410. Which is 10 humanities and covetous gold serpent ring or the symbol of avarice. The symbol of avarice won’t increase it any further and all it does is just yield more souls so I’d recommend using the ring instead because it slowly decreases your health

I have a question I am new to the souls games so I started dark souls 1 the original using my Xbox 360 for the experience so how do I use the humanity to increase my chances do I need to keep them or use them(crash them) cuz currently I have 11 of them. Use them, as long as they show up on the top left corner of your screen then it should be going into effect on your item percentage chances

Mentioned in the description, the Great Sword has a 20% chance to drop. How much does that percentage increase with each humanity level? If I spend the humanity I have saved is it worth it for the increase in rng? I’m early midgame first playthrough with vitality and stamina both at 30 rn. I can beat this Knight, just wondering if the humanity investment is worth it, I want to use this great sword in later game. Did manage to get the Black Knight Halberd already, but still want that great sword...

You can farm humainty by killing enemies. First level give you 50% second level give you 25% and so on but the more the merrier. Also this is at the start of the game so worst case sernario you can just restart the game and try again same with all the Black Knight Weapons in that area

I cheated, I did a cloud save with a humanity of +2 right before the BK fight and reloaded every time the Greatsword did not drop. It took five tries in total, not bad. This is how I plan to get the Knight’s Honor achievement

@@HuhWhatHuhwhatHuh a friend make a backup save and game me his Black Knight Sword, then he restored his previous save so he still had the sword. The trick is to make a backup save before killing the black knight and restore until he drops the sword.

He only shows up ones. So you ever have to reach all the way to the last area of the game or start again

make a backup of the save file before killing any of them so you can restore and kill it again until it drops the sword

This is not actually a guide, you just need luck( literally), i got one from undead asylum after killing like 3 knight beforehand
