Dark Souls Guide - Where to get Oscar's Equipment (Elite Knight Armor and More)

A little guide I made in tribute to Oscar, Knight of Astora, who saves the Chosen Undead from the Undead Asylum at the beginning of the game.
This video shows you how to get all of his equipment at the very start of the game. YOU MUST CHOOSE THE MASTER KEY AS YOUR STARTING GIFT.

Amazing video...I finished the game once...and played most of it wearing Elite Knight Armor (Oscar of Astora's Armor)...yeah and defeated most of the bosses wearing it... absolutely my favorite Armor.

The Elite Knight armor is actually one of the the top 5 strongest armor while the chest has the highest defense than any other armor in the game. This can be obtained in the rest of the Dark Souls genre except Demon Souls and the strength of the chest piece goes strong until the 3rd which will become the 2nd strongest chest piece and the armor is just shy of the top 3rd in the second and at around 4th in 3rd but to be fair this armor is way lighter than the other competitors as it may be seen that the lightest armor that is stronger than the set is about 10 weight more minimum

Yes , but you will have to invest more stat in endurance in order to not fatroll whit it

Why didnt he start with warrior? It has 14 endurance while knight only has 10.

It’s so much easier on switch because I just ran through everything and I just didn’t even fight anything so I was like you know what I was like. I’m just gonna go run through everything and just run right to the end ending.

I killed Havel with just 3 or 4 parrie moves. I mean I’ve been having a hard time with him for a while so I upgraded my armor and weapons to be stronger so I’d be able to kill him easily.

Because of your “hollow” status. You regain a healthier or more human looking form as you reverse hollow/offer humanity. It’s supposed to happen to everyone unless you fulfill the reverse hollowing requirement. ...Have you not even noticed or played the game at all?...

im playing the remaster on the switch and i cant seem to backstab anything, this a know issue or am i just shit?

Ok, so I had a largely scuffed run on the return to the aslyum for the shield because I forgot to open the door that leads past the knight on my first visit. However it turns out Oscar will aggro and can actually backstab the knight if both are positioned right and you can confuse their pathfinding by using the broken stairs to the left, making both of them run away from you.

What do you do if you wake up the dragon? How do you get everything else?

It's a pretty bad idea to fight him early, but if you don't mind dying over and over then you can go on "suicide runs" from the fire link bonfire to the dragon until you get everything there, which tbh isn't really worth. You can get decent stuff just around Firelink too.

Take the long route from Andre to darkroot basin to drake valley to blighttown. There is a chest on top with the new londo ruins key.
