get the fake moonlight greatsword, make it bleed infused, break it and you get a weapon that only inflicts bleed

The Raw Black Scorpion stinger is a tool i enjoy for a lot of different runs because of its high damage, early acquisition, and the poison is a great bonus ontop. Light weight makes it ideal in the offhand or as a quick secondary when you need thrust damage in a pinch

Raw Blue flame with aromatic ooze was a beast for me. Low int mage. Works well with the ds2 spice system. Raw mace of insolent as well with dark pine resin. I pair both with flynn's ring and ring of blades. That gets you a dependable casting tool for low stats with amazing melee damage.

good vid, i would recommend putting less prepostiions like "in fact", "absolutely, "similarly", "it practically", that sorta thing. there's a lot lot of them in the first bit which makes the pacing feel weird. hope you get more viewers!

Additional info on santier's spear. It is ABSOLUTELY invaluable on a no death no bonfire run, as it has very low requirements and no durability

I cant believe that in a weapon showcase someone perfect rolling ment taking damage. That's the magic bs of Dark Souls 2 adp I guess.

It's actually really interesting you point it out, because it's actually the game being "nice" to you. So in another souls game, if your s run out midroll and you get hit, you just get staggered out of your roll animation afaik, or maybe you can poise through it. In this game, instead you just take the damage, but you get to finish your roll. Now obviously, the problem with this is that those other souls games have counts tied somewhat to the roll animation itself, unlike Dark Souls 2, which tied count to a random stat instead. So what really makes it frustrating is the fact you have an extremely low count on a long roll animation, and the problem doesn't go away until you have like 20 ADP or more.

You're right I did. Great catch, I actually found it on the run I'm doing right now and was like "oops." Although in my defense, it's nearly identical to Malformed Skull as far as I can tell.

The weapons with extremely high base Damage actually benefit more from lightning Infusion compared to raw. Especially with Flynn and Ring of Blades +1/+2

The damage looks better on paper, but the damage will be split between physical and lightning, so against DLC bosses I doubt you'll actually gain damage, and if you do it'll be fairly negligible.

two handing requires 2/3 the strength, not half (because two handing increases your strength by a factor of 1.5)

That's how it works in ds1 and ds3. In ds2 you get x2 strength, but only to equip the weapon, no bonus damage from strength
