So far the best bossfight in early game. It's not your typical just-a-dude-with-armour or a gank fight where you need to fight 1v3 or 1v6. This shit is intense and panic inducing, run for your life!

I can relate to that I hid one al coves and sniped him with a bow, if you tried get leaver to pul ramp up you die from all skeletons attacking, and bloody undead wizards resurrecting the skeletons

I remember being bodyblocked by one of the skeletons, which led me to (successfully) panic roll through the Chariot's attack. Never been able to replicate it (reliably) since then.

This is a fantastic boss. DS2 has a deluge of bosses, but a lot of them are sort of mediocre. Executioner's Chariot is anything but; delivers in music, concept, atmosphere and difficulty.

When there is 20 minutes left to hand in an important assignment that you've been horribly stuck on for over 12 hours, and you finally figure out what you need to do. Sleep deprived and working in a thick haze of panic and caffeine.

This fight could have been so much cooler in a large open arena. Maybe increase the size of the horse and the skeleton rider, maybe have the boss constantly moving and watching the skeleton rider direct the horse could be a tell for where they were going. Then, halfway through the fight, have the rider and horse split from eachother. The horse could keep trying to mow you down, but now you don't know where ot's going because it now has no tells. The skeleton rider could have a unique bone trident weapon and a unique moveset. The horse and rider both have separare healthbars. If you kill the rider first, the horse gets a lot faster and more aggressive while gaining basic dark magic spells. If the horse dies first, then the rider rips off one of the wheels of the chariot to act as a shield. Man, this boss had so much potential.

My dumbass paid zero attention to the lever shown at the cutscene and I tried attacking the boss through the safe spots with DLC weapons thinking that was the solution lol. How stupid I felt when I saw the lever after cycling the arena twice.

The theme is so good but god damn do I hate this specific boss. It felt like the team played Majora’s Mask, saw Goht, and thought: “We can make this fight so much less fun to play!”. The chariot itself, especially when I fought it again in Drangleic Castle, was fine, but the constant ambush spawn skeletons were not fun. Ambush spawns are never *fun.*

The sad part is you can run to both summoners, kill them, then kill the skeletons for real. You didn't need to use that much gear and lose 18k souls to record this, lol. The chariot cannot do anything except loop around once the area is cleared out.
