Alonne's 4th one is. Not sure about the 3rd one, that looks more legit. Guardian Dragon's and Sinh's "midair" also are just scuffed normal death animations since it plays in midair. You can see that they still "slump" onto the ground that isn't there at all.

Well, to be fair, they suddenly got 2 years axed from development and were orced to turn it into a cross-gen game. The first director was also an indecisive bitch. To the first reply, ds2 hitboxes are a regurgitated complaint, at least when someone is whining about pvp lag, which isn't the game's fault. Otherwise, 3's are also pretty similar, so it's no the only one. Seriously, there's always some random guy trying to shit on 2 lol

About Sir Alonne's ragdoll death, it's not technically a death animation per say. Every humanoid boss that you kill while they are performing a mid air animation will just ragdoll, I suppose it was a solution the devs found to avoid having to code them landing first and then going into their animation, which would look odd. Funny enough, the sudden ragdoll looks ever worse imo, lol.

It's funny 'cause in my first playthrough (it was my 1st ever souls game) I went to the last giant to be my first boss, and I just ran around waiting for him to go to the ground (this special move lol), because I thought it was the only time I had to attack. Long story short I spent like 2 hours running around waiting to hit him on the ground, until I realised there was plenty of windows to attack and I actually killed him. Took me several tries tho. Flaws of being a noob lol (I actually played like 5 hours before I realised I could lvl up in majula too, damn I felt stupid)

We were all noobs once. In my first playtrough i didn't see the entrance to the forest. Didn't know about estus flask neither how to level up. And then i figured it out

I was blind in my first play through and didn’t even see the way to get into the tutorial after the first bonfire, I didn’t know that estus came back and I couldn’t find my way to the forest of fallen giants.(I needed a guide for all 3 of these things)

My first soul game is DS2. I was already almost to the end of the game that I did not know about weapon leveling. I do only soul level. When i found out about weapon leveling I made another character to start again.

Dont worry bro, my first game was dsr and i somehow missed the message that tells u how to sprint and i spent like 1/3 of the game just walking. Not until i looked up a guide for the gargoyes and finally discovered that u can sprint.

Well, The Rotten's form is comprised of a mass of hollows caged and chained together if you look carefully during the intro cutscence. So what is probably happening is he is drawing out hollows packed inside his "body" as replacements to reform his arms.

I think I understand that you are going for a minimal edit style, but letting the first clip play for two and a half minutes was a bit rough in my opinion. Also Alonne taking a bow is a stretch in my opinion. Looks like he bobs his head a little between animation transitions. But aside drom these, this is an excellent video! Its entertaining as hell seing you destroy these bosses with ease. Especialy the last dragon. You brutalized him!

So theory about why Elana summons a clone of Velstadt, I believe Velstadt is originally from Shulva since he is a miracle user w a bell chime hammer and Drangleic is known for favoring sorcery. His armor states "A knight from a faraway land was lured to this accursed land, but forgot even why he came, eventually reduced to a shadow of his former self."

The 3rd and 4th deaths of Sir Alonne are not animations, is a bug where the ragdoll physics activates before the proper death animation. That's because the killing blow is done while the boss is in mid air jumping/evading. I saw Fume Knight dying like this but even more funny.

A couple of days ago I found out that Raime also has a unique animation of death. I was in a co-op and finished him off at the moment of the jump. He collapsed to the ground and activated ragdoll. Most likely it was a bug, but it looked very funny.

The death "animations" listed here are ragdoll states. The enemies don't have a death animation tied to dying in air so upon the death state happening off the ground with no according death animation tied to it , the rag doll state occurs in its place. It is an unaccounted for reaction, not an intended action. If you get hit by a car or fall to the ground the according motion forced onto yourself is not an act or action chosen by you to be performed it Is an unwanted reaction forced upon you.

I don't think that 3 and 4 times are separate animations. Most likely, the animation simply does not work due to some kind of error, and as a result, Sir Allone simply falls dead.

Amazing how in lieu of accounting for bosses dying while airborne, they just set them to ragdoll - not just pop back to the ground for a standard death animation, like you might expect. Even more amazing given that the bosses don't ragdoll under any other circumstance.

Fact sir allone is a samurai and yes is a code its called bushido you can see in one of the deaths animation he stabs himself with the sword thats the ritual called sepukku or harakiri only those who lost his honor must pass through the ritual to get it back so yes hes a samurai
