Another curiosity of the Pursuers of the throne room is that the one on Nashandra's side has red eyes indirectly indicating that she is a cursed being, while the Pursuer on vendrick's side of the throne is just a normal Pursuer.

Pretty sure the idea with the dragonriders is that they are elites in Venboy's army, So he'd leave them in places where he needed really good protectors to make sure some bumblefuck doesn't end up wandering into places he should not have an acess to. The same hapens to the one right before velstadt fight.

Look at the spawn location of the double Pursuer in Dragleic castle, the regular one spawns from the seat of Vendrick and the red eyed one from Nashandra's seat. I think its just a hint for players who never got to final boss, its probably indicating that Nashandra is the evil soul, while Vendrick is the good one.

You're probably on to something but since the fight only ever happens in NG+ i would be surprised if people saw that before fightong Nashandra. They could use an ascetic, I suppose...

Also the fact that Nashandra's throne is in light while Vendrick's is in shadows and Pursuers reveal true nature of each ruler. Appearances can be deceiving.

It's suggested that persuers hunt exclusively undead in Drangleic. I figure when Vendrick first took surprise of the curse spreading, he might've taken Nashandra's help for finding and silencing it. It's the same fogs and sounds similar to when we fight Artorias in DS1. I figure it's the earliest subtle hint of the darkness spread out in Drangleic wrought by the fragmentations of Manus known as the children of the dark. Besides Nashandra, there were 3 others via DLCs to their kingdoms. In DS3 we see foes consumed by the Abyss with red eyes from time to time.

@@esbaitah8317 Like butterflies in Dragonslayer Armor room are not expected to be killed but it can be, I wish it's actually an object that you can interact with and can be killed. It'd be even cooler it doesnt appear in a boss fight if it's killed here.

I'll always think dark souls 2 is the best dark souls game. It's the oddball. There's so much that happens in game and through lore that has so much more than the first and third game. I'm really glad to see someone taking so much time to showcase all the curiosities and cool boss features most people never notice

There's a trick with the twin Pursuers fight that can make it a lot easier. If you quickly leave the room and re-enter while one is in an attack animation and the other isn't, the latter will despawn leaving only the former to fight. Then if you rest at a bonfire and return to the room, the one that despawned will reappear by itself. That way you only have to fight one at a time.

The red eyes and the dark beads like attack are signs of the corruption of the abyss or at least his affinity with it,tho neither of those attacks are secrets really

The Pursuer is able to get the corruption after impaling you with the blade and making you cursed. Does that mean the energy that makes you whole and human effigies (which undoes your cursed state) have powers that can be traced from the abyss?

Because of that dragonrider in Amana, the secret is busted because you can see him from afar, therefore finding a way to approach him

That's an interesting bit on the Pursuer I had never noticed that change to SotFS in the Throne Room. In vanilla in the FotFG, Smelter Demon arena, and Twin Pursuers; they all start without red eyes or smoke and only gain them if they connect with a grab attack. In SotFS, the ones in the Lost Bastille (and the single on in Thing's Betwixt) start pre-buffed, but FotFG and the one in the Smelter Demon arena remain with no starting buff. Then for the Twin Pursuer fight in SotFS, they started one of them buffed and one of them not buffed. As I recall, the buff is what allows them to fire their Dark Orb barrage.

very interesting set of videos, not only I appreciated learning the secrets but also watching you "earn" them by rng, strategy, skill, when you could have used hacks. My favourite is by far the gargoyles' appearences, I only knew of the sinner's pinnacle! I think it's a genius idea btw. Some people complain about you not "cutting" the clips, but I think I understand your old school philosophy behind that, and I respect that

That dark orbs attack that the pursuer did isn't exclusive to that area,he just perform it very rarely

Dragonrider probably betrayed Vendrick at this point although it is a strange interaction and even stranger is that we found his armour there. I always wondered why did they choose to do that since we basically see Vendrick's armour in his boss room. Also something else that really bothered me was that his clothing "remembered" who he once was since we had the opportunity to hear his story. And last but not least Vendrick was expecting somebody all those years since he didn't let his sword out of his hand.He feared something yet he doesn't attack the player once he sees him.He should be aware you killed Velstadt to reach him.

@@derpi3438 no. Accually most of them don't have theese weapons (in scholar at least). Only pursuer in the bossfight and smelter's area have them. Ones in lost bastille dont have them, one in things betwixt doesn't have them and those in drangleic castle don't have them.

I have a solution for the Dragonrider he was defending Vendrick soul so basically vendric is hollow and undead so he has his soul at that chair and the dragonrider was defeding it so im guessing if you kill vemdrick the dragonrider either dies or goes to protect something else.

The gargoyles is far from a secret, they literally scream and fly as a show for the player. The fact that you can kill them before and they dont fly is a cool detail.

I didn’t know that the Pursuer can only use his dark orb attack after he curses you with his grab. I just figured my version of the game (xbox 360, supposedly scholar but it has the original’s item and enemy placement) just didn’t have it.

That's Berserker Blade and to obtain it you will have to kill Mad Warrior in Belfry Sol ( you also have to join the Bell Keepers covenant in order for the Mad Warrior to spawn ). It can also be dropped from Prowlers in Brume Tower in the Crown Of The Old Iron King DLC.

OK so the main thing people don't like about the Dragonrider is his tittle, just a big old knight with a big shield and halberd, but what if the dragon u fight before the old dragonslayer IS his dragon and he just has it parked while he chills in the room :o (also the 2 in the castle might just have their dragons in dranglic and they can just cal them anytime for a ride*
