In all of darksouls tbh, midir killed me more than every other boss in the series Edit: nvm he's kinda a joke now, i just beat him hitless at sl1 yesterday. The real hardest boss for me was demon prince at sl1. He killed me over 40 times.

i find him actually real easy, hardest for me is sulyvan with all those combos and magic, it is very hard in solo, i always have to summon 3 ghosts to get him in the first try.

I played ds3 as my first soulsborne game and have to say, the difficulty spike when facing the Abyss Watchers is still the toughest experience I've had. But Midir was easy to read and that huge riposte damage towards the end and that you could avoid his laser beam if you stuck close to him made life easy enough against him.

@@jesusvera7941 For whatever reason I haven't had many problems with Sulyvhan or the Twin Princes, which seem to give many people tons of problems. I also usually beat Sister Friede between 1 to 3 tries per run. Midir killed me the most by far. I was also getting beat down by the Demon Prince when it got to NG++ and beyond; it seemed like that thing had a bottomless health reserve. Aldrich was also a nightmare for me when I was still learning about the game. I have zapped him with Vow every time since I acquired it.

Its easier to dodge than phase 1's laser , while he jumps back, run back, try to be far from him , then roll 2 times on left whenever he rushes the laser towards you so you also dodge the explosion , for the others , he slashes the laser just near him , if you are far enough , that wont hit you

Eaziest way to dodge this is to literally just walk up to him. no rolling, no sprinting, just walk or jog in this case.

But isn't the laser pattern telegraph? I haven't fought him yet but I fought Amygdala and ran from stray Amygdalas in Unseen Village and the lasers weren't that hard. I learned the hard way by being stubborn and running back there without observing the attack, however.

It follows a pattern where the first attack tracks you, the following one doesn't, the next one does, and so on, it is telegraphed but sound is the most reliable cue

Maybe it's a glitch that happened to me before but the laser attack is cool just don't get caught in it.

The AI is kinda weird in those games. For example in ER Elden Beast is supposed to always swim far away and then use the Elden Stars attack on around half health. But rarely, extremely rarely, it doesn't do that. Or like it happened to me on my winning attempt on my first playthrough: EB used the attack, but instead of swimming far away first, it just moved a few metres and used the attack, which gave me enough time to kill it since this attack gives a huge opening, that usually youre not going to use since its too far away.
