I'm trying it now, about half-way done. Rushing Faith for lightning spear sure makes the early bosses easy but some areas are an absolute nightmare with no stamina (Sen's, Anor Londo). BTW I used the master key shortcut to Quelaag so I missed out on Depths and Blighttown XP.

@@mundanesilver2593 Whoa whoa whoa bro stop stop stop i started with ds2 then ds3 then ds1 always with a miracle first run ( Since i understand the game after 20000000 fail attempts in ds2 ) And i must say i dont know why people say miracles are hard i only need to jump away can cast 2 spear Then i reproduce that sentence on almost every boss I think its one of the most easiest way especially cause the miracle that let you heal over time + wrath of the gods or how its called thats good for oneshooting the little enemys around you Maybe im weird but i think miracles was always the easy mode for my opinion Also i got on my first ornstein and smaugh ( I started with ds2 and ds3 so i had a long time paranoia against these 2 ) I just got them first try cause my miracles ( In future it was harder so idk how i did so well but it worked ) Still nice video i like youre playstyle is very similliar to mine or better to say mine is like yours since i just finished ds1 2 years ago!

Never knew miracles were this powerful, always been a fan of sorcery. I'd like to see something like this done for dark souls 2 or 3

I thought about doing one for dark souls 2 but the nert on sorcery casts was too hard for me to even bother, there being only 3(?) casts of the basic lighting spear. Its quite possible ill make one for dark souls 3 though!

+Mundane Silver While the cast nerf is true, the damage is pretty amazing at the same time. On my caster character, Sunlight Spear hits for far more damage than basically any of my other spells (excluding things like Climax for obvious reasons). 1200 damage is a usual damage number, and I have 5 casts of it. Granted, I do have 75 attunement, I believe, and an item that increases the number of casts by 1, but still - that's a lot of damage either way. In NG+, it's getting most bosses' health down to a half or just above half.

***** The problem is the early game, since youre so low level and you only have like 3(?) casts of lighting spear. In a miracles only run that would mean doing the entire area to get to the boss then killing the boss with 3 casts of your only damage spell that doesnt even do very much damage at the beginning of the game

Priscilla has 60 poise when she is invisible. Karmic justice does 200 poise damage. Breaking her poise reveals her. When she is visible nothing can stun or flinch her. Also karmic justice needs you to take 5 hits for effect. Damage amount doesn't matter. You must take those hits in 5 seconds.

you can make it much easier for you, if you are a new player and just want to get all miracles, you can join sunbro covenant, and after quelaag you can just stand before her fog door with summon sign, and help kill her for people, do that 10 times, and give 10 sunlight medals to sun alrair. and you get new lightning spear miracle, that is stronger than your, but most important - you have twice more spells to cast on bosses now. and at least 100k souls from helping people kill quelaag XD

Hey, great video! I'm running a similar character (not with no weapons but it's still a cleric with lightning spear as the main damage dealer). After 25 Faith, what order do you go about upgrading things?

You want your faith to be at least 40 for the Darkmoon talisman scaling. Other than that, as long as you have enough attunement for all your spells and the minimum stat requirements for the weapon you want I would prioritize stamina and then health. The only other stat that can have an effect on your build is dexterity (for casting speed) but that doesnt do anything until 35 dex and then caps at 45 dex so I wouldnt even worry about that.

This video exemplifies why I've never bothered with a miracle build in... well in any Souls game, but DS1 in particular. The miracles that inflict damage are so few and have so few castings that you simply can't make a build centered on them. Thus, they remain a novelty instead of a core feature of the build. You have to scrape by with just 1 Lightning Spear for so long unless you 1. twink yourself by doing the Tomb of the Giants early or 2. grind enough sunlight medals for Great Lightning Spear. All the utlity miracles like healing, Seek Guidance and Homeward lose any meaning in further playthroughs, because you can get 20 estus easily, already know how the game works, and can just buy Homeward Bones.

You can get lighting spear before Taurus demon on NG if you're clever. You need to immediately level your faith to level 25, use the master key to go through the valley of drakes to get to the sunlight alter before you fight the Taurus Demon, and kneeling at the altar will give you the miracle. As far as people still playing, I know I still do! I think that there are still a lot of people that play.

Yup, you can do it at any point in the game. Make sure you have a talisman to cast the miracle though, you can buy one from Petrus of Thorolund back in Firelink Shrine.

I think he leveled up on faith and joined the warriors of sunlight. You can join by having 25 faith and you can join at the sunlight alter behind the red dragon on the bridge

Well, the minimum req stats would be 16 strength to 2 hand the zweihander (24 if you want to 1 hand), and 10 dex. I'd recommend 50 faith for maximum miracle damage, with a darkmoon talisman. You probably dont want to make the zwei lightning, the scaling is garbage. Id make it chaose and just keep 10 humanity on at all times. the rest of the stats depend on how many spells you want, what armor youre wearing, etc. I would use - www.mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/ - to figure out what stats you need to get what you want. Make sure you have the endurance to fast roll and the attunement for all the spells you want, then you can dump the rest of your levels into health and stamina. Hope this helps

I think the way I did it was getting all of the consumable souls from Blighttown and New Londo and using those to level my Faith to 25. Then you join the Warrior of Sunlight covenant. Hope that helps

If you have the dark moon seance ring which you can find in the catacombs you can enter gwyndolins room and fight him without having to kill gwynevere. You can also join gwyndolins covenant.

Lightning spear is available once you get 25 faith, I just went down to blight town and new londo first thing to pick up every consumable soul and leveled my faith to 25 first thing
