Calli steamrolling the hardest of bosses in this game really reminded me how OP can you get with poise and the right kind of builds, and it's pretty funny seeing it on stream as well Also Visions of sadness fighting against Sif right after the DLC...

Havel setup + Zweihander can get pretty crazy lmao, she was SHREDDING through the bosses

Poise tank builds are pretty damn busted in 1, yeah. They just ignore that most bosses are attacking them.

The DLC was neat, like a peek into a sad side story. Calli made some friends along the way, had some funny falls, and did a great job dealing with the bosses! From pup (Sif carry), to giant wolf, Sif really made a lasting impression. What a sad note to end on
@lordrevan62513 ай бұрын
And caught up with the vod. I can't believe you beat Manus in 2 tries. Sif hard carried that fight But fr it's insane to see you steam roll the entire dlc whereas I struggled hard against Atrorias, Kalameet, and Manus, back in the day. Times have certainly changed since then.

In this, we see Calli journey to the DLC of Dark Souls. It was a magnificent run of seeing her beating bosses like Seath the Scaleless before she tackled the DLC. It brought back good memories of first playing it. See fun reactions to the well-beloved bosses like Artorias and Kaalemeet. Still, it was really heartbreaking when she faced Sif. A truly hard boss fight for the soul... Still, it was a magnificent stream to see!

In today's episode, Mori learns R1s are good (again)
@WrenchMcCool83 ай бұрын
I can't believe how few attempts she needed for these bosses that frustrated me for so many hours. The game really has changed. Mori please do play Dark Souls 2, it's still a good game even if people don't remember it as fondly as 1 or 3. Partly they do because youtubers have told them to, and partly because they never tried the remake, Scholar of the First Sin edition, which improves it quite a bit. There's only one real problem part, in its DLC I would say. Elden Ring learned lessons from DS2 as well. It's still a worthy playthrough as you move through Fromsoft games, you'd beat it quickly with the pace you have now.
@asasasas57643 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to do this but it must be equal Mori please skip Dark Souls 2. It doesn't look as good or feel as good to play, has the most frustrating levels and enemies, mechanics made to punish the player for dying, doesn't hit the same or as frequent highs and has much lower lows, and is so disjointed from the other games from a lore standpoint it might as well not exist. Scholar of the First Sin fixed some things and made others worse. It doesn't even have Patches. What's up with that? and you already played it.
@MegaSlayer_923 ай бұрын
I second this. It may not be a 10/10 like DS1/3 or Elden Ring, but it's still a pretty good game despite its flaws.
@WrenchMcCool83 ай бұрын
@@asasasas5764 You are too quick to completely write off an entire game Mori could stream for a couple weeks. She never beat it and it's worth seeing. Many of the things you say are frustrating were brought back in Elden Ring. It had new ideas worth looking at. It will be easy enough for her, similar to how she's steamrolling DS1.
@JAM923 ай бұрын
I swear she recently said she's already played Dark Souls 2, why should she play it again? Blind playthroughs are so much more interesting than a repeated playthrough.

I honestly could not tell when we went from the main game to the DLC because a lot of it is starting to blend in together. But the only thing I definitely remembered that we did accomplish with Cali kill that giant moonlight butterfly thing which I think was something that girl was having a lot more trouble with than comparison........ Has to be the giant Buster sword build that Cali is doing lol. Meanwhile I think she killed another woman in this game but again I don't really know because a lot of these events are starting to blend in together that it's starting to feel like that it's all the same. However it is entertaining to hear Callie read through item descriptions and The Return of the kazoo was a very nice Touch so once again great job with the stream and the dlc from this point Calli!

But man, Gwyndolin pulling the stunt that he did and everything else that slowly becomes clearer after it gets exposed that both his sister and the literal sun are just vtuber avatars makes killing Artorias feel less like a tragedy and more like justice.

It all goes back to Fenrir, the giant wolf from Norse myth who was given a sword. "Sif" is a name from the same legends. Norse mythology is super influential in gaming.

Dark Souls 2 is worth it, imo. Game play is mostly the same with some minor changes to mechanics and better QoL. Also a different story setting, however all the same story archetypes are there. Storywise it feels more like a spin off than a direct sequel.

Did you need to finish the DLC before fighting Sif? No Did it hurt that much more because you did? You bet :''} Thanks for the fun stream today, you cleared one of the biggest difficulty spikes from back in the days, what would lay the foundamentals for more mobile and agressive bosses (and also a huge bersekr reference because of course lol), not that im surprised tho, you solo'd Radhan after all :D But that doesnt make this journey of exploring and discovering any less special, so thank you for sharing that with us Graet job today dude, I'll see you at members karaoke, listening to you sing always makes work much better! (P.S. a Fromsoft karaoke where you add lyrics to the OSTs would be sick but thats a lota work, so bardcore would be a more than acceptable alternative, cant wait for future singin! )

Might be too late to tell you this, but you could easily have 2 streams left before the finale even if you made them quite long like this. While you are running low on bosses, there's still a bunch of optional content you could explore that you haven't or have barely touched. I doubt you would have more than that though. You're very strong even for the end game and there's only 1 boss left that I think might give you trouble

1st was Demon's Souls and the original pretty level up lady the Maiden in Black. Also a remake for PS5 was made later on. 2nd was Dark Souls 1 and was pretty well loved even if Demon's Souls was better in many people's opinion. 3rd was Dark Souls 2 which is a very good game that did not deserve the hate it got, although It would have been better if Miyazaki had been director. (only souls game where he was not). 4th Bloodborne not my thing however many people liked it. Game was just simply not for me. 5th was Sekiro Good if shinobi is your thing, again good game however it just simply was not for me. 6th Dark Souls 3 Is again getting back to the good stuff, more like Elden Ring and Demon's Souls than the first 2 Dark Souls Game. 7th and final Elden Ring, and likely final installment of these types of games.
@fffffplayer12 ай бұрын
I know you finished the game and will probably not play it again (at least on stream) and you probably won't see this comment anyway, but setting the game as "Start Offline" doesn't set you as offline, if you're already online. It just means the game will start in offline mode if it's not already signed in. There's an option to log in or out in the menu that would have probably worked better. Later games probably handle networking better, so this advice might not be relevant to them.

I'm kinda disappointed with how she absolutely tanked Artorias. It took me hours and many deaths to finally beat him. Was even done with all the other stuff, did DLC last, and I'm really thorough with exploring. Maybe I shouldn't have gone for dex build with halberd as main weapon (mostly kept with it because of the moveset, barely any wall hitting). Also, are there any people that stream this game playing for the first time that don't want to be backseated at all? Must be really painful...
