What a wonderful teller of tales you are! I am Irish, but I have lived abroad for now more than 20 years. The folklore and mythology of my native land are always with me, but you have, in your narration, made it real again, despite my living now in deepest, darkest France. Joking. The Celtic sense is still not lost here, but it is not the same as that of the island, and I do miss it when I have time to let my thoughts fly back there again. Thank you most sincerely. Beir Bua!

Love to always see what you are doing Daniel, we are on a similar journey both my son and I so always looking out for new postings from Mossy Bottom. Daniel, you have made a very sadden lady very tearful but thankful this morning, so moving for me personally.. Do you now Dorset and the beautiful and wild Purbeck hills and coast.? After a very hurtful separation I I came here from London in 1999 with my Two small babies, my son being poorly at the time. Managed to buy a very run down cottage and a garden( full of years of rubbish and broken bottles too) to start a new life the three of us.. After many years of hard work. made a kitchen with my young son and daughter and vegetable gardens/ducks, places to play and create and read, I also home educated them both while having small jobs and selling plants/produce. My children and I would walk those hills collecting wild edibles, and that's where I meet and fell in love with my Gerry. He was a child and man of those hill, natuaral to him as a goat, he knew them like the back of his hand and he as solid as the stones they are made of.There was no place he would rather be walking with his beloved sheep dog Tess. We done our courting there if that is the right word or more like got to know each other slowly, all 4 of us, with him introducing us to all the lost and forgotten places, history of the area and the folk stories, and shared the love he had for his people of the village and surrounding villages, with him the knowledge of the flowers and wild plants having a life time with plants with his background at Kew gardens. We had too few very happy years like that, sad to say I/ we lost him 3 years ago to those beautiful hills and has yet to be found even thought very dedicated searches took place. Gerry, a legion of those hills now. If you Google " Missing Swanage Man Gerry Turner " in Bournmouth Echo (March 2018) and also"Remembering My Gerry"The Purbeck Gazette, my story of Gerry, You will see why this posting of yours has made me tearful yet thankful for the time we had. Sorry this is long but I felt so strong that I had to say how your journey has affected bother myself and my son. We talk about you a lot with great affection and feel part of what you are living, you give us get up and go. Thank you Daniel, bless you and Moss and all those lovely creatures of yours

Beautiful Video! So much folklore in the British Isles. Ireland is a incredible country offering so many charming stories of the days gone by. Though my parents are from England they to would tell us folklore stories around Yorkshire and surrounding counties. Dad use to purchase a small booklet called the Dalisman ( I think I spelled it correctly.) In it were articles about the folklore and oddities of the area and were there many. As children we would listen with such focus to him as he would speak of the ghosts, the hauntings and the mysteries in the moors etc.. So much history and so many mysterious unanswered questions about the countries making up the British Isles. I remember as a young child I would always comb through the fields looking for a four leaf clover thinking that, just maybe I would see a Leprechaun. Such precious stories and memories.

good clear filmwork, Ierland has always been an enchanted place, when it can be seen, in it's natural beauty. mans struggles in this wild place, have been captured, by peoples abilities, to weave and tell folklore, to future generations. yep, the irish can tell a good yarn, and bring the past to life. but the landscape itself, outdoes all of them. magic, is in the eye, and heart, of the beholder, and natures, unspoilt natural beauty, is the best story teller of them all
