It is way worse because the PFOA chemical family is only a small list of harmful stuff that we are exposed too. In America, if its not detectable or have immediate impact than it is ok to poison the public. I predict that in 25 years low level radiation from cell phones will be the next big lawsuit (25 years for the victims to have direct evidence). Those harmed the most will be those that have a cell tower near their work or living area. The 5G in some countries is not being adopted for health reasons, although industry will deny. Again the harm is not easily detected, so it is ok to poison others because they won't know.

PARKERSBURG, WV (not Parkersville). And I am laughing hysterically that DuPont actually released a formal statement claiming to be mindful of their employee's health. My mother worked at the Washington Works plant in Parkersburg, WV from 1989-2008 before she was forced out on disability at the ripe age of 44. She was never given proper protective wear while working in both Teflon and Butacite and when she went out on retirement in '08 she was literally raking C8 into a separate distilling silo so that it would not be put out into the water, covered in it once her shift was finished. Years later, she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, thyroid issues, degenerative discs, etc. DuPont is corporate evil at it's highest peak. Disgusting and inhumane.

Lazy nothing. Teflon was put into more than just the happy pan. Like Ruffalo said, "fabrics, boots", etc. Did you know, that on a daily basis, companies pay the EPA their 10k fine as a cost of doing business? It's cheaper to pay the epa than it is to put a system in place that keeps the land/air clean. This is the power you have when you have elected officials in your pocket and that "too big to fail", business.

I grew up directly across the river from the DuPont plant, in Little Hocking, Ohio. My family drank well water for the first few years, until we got "city water" running through town. My father died of cancer and cancer was detected in my mother's system before she died. I moved from that area in the mid 80's but I'm still terrified about the concentrated amount of C8 that could still be in my system. Thank God for this movie and it's exposure of a greedy, horrendous criminal...DuPont!

I don't usually watch movies, but I'm going to the theaters to support this because everyone involved was very brave in fighting this evil corp. Also I'm so glad my mom never let us use teflon. We had our egg get stuck to our pan and cleanup was difficult but at least it was safer.

many thanks to mark ruffalo for doing this movie & becoming involved with what its all about. i live in nc very close to one of the dupont plants, although they're under another name now but nothing else has changed. we got in, along with many others, on the class action lawsuit that is being handled by just one firm, or so i've been told anyway. and crazy as it sounds, they don't plan to pursue any claims for any of the illnesses that could have been caused by the toxin & i had to have a mastectomy from having breast cancer a couple of years ago & it dsnt even run in my family. so far any other attorny's i've contacted just refer me to that same law firm that is also located on the other side of the country by the way. companies like dupont just make way too much money off all their products to give a rats ass about the people their shit is infecting so they just keep making their payoffs to the government & whoever else they have to pay off along the way because its money they don't even miss.
