I am what they call a Babybat, wasn't alive when the Gothsubculture started and was coming up but since i could think for myself i was always fascinated by everything ''dark'' and very creative making my own clothing from a young age and like to express myself with differentlooks and then i discovered my first ''goth music'' Sisters of Mercy and Clan of Xymox and i fell in love finding the music that fits me like a glove. i allready knew the cure from my parents but i'm not sure if they fall under the category of goth music.

Darkwave is such an overarching umbrella term, so it's not illogical for a playlist to specify the direction of darkwave bands and groups featured. Also peeps within the Goth subculture, who mainly listen to this stuff, have a very varied taste.

@@MysteriousAsteria I am slowly discovering this to be true. I've been going down a Goth/Darkwave rabbit hole lately & I don't always like all of it. The mix here is pretty good. I've gotten into Cold Cave, Boy Harsher, Adult. & of course can't go wrong with The Cure... I'm sure if all that is considered Darwave, but I like it.
