a card that I find interesting is the o-lion, because with it you can make a play using any level 4 and using your normal summon you bring it to the field and do a synchro summon and bring the coral dragon and then with the token that it leaves you get summon the crocodragon, in this way, you have a card that interacts with the opponent and in the process still draws 2 cards (another advantage is that by having synchro monsters it is possible to summon the coordius using the accesion).

I’m salivating at the thought of playing this in MD. I’m going to be playing this with Necrofear. I have a strange obsession with Necrofear and I want a reason to play it competitively. This is that reason. I will be VERY happy once it makes it into the game!!

With Dark Corridor coming to the TCG, we need an updated deck profile!
@PlagueSpreader64 Жыл бұрын
Broww is highly debatable. Without Dealings the amount of controlled discard outlets you have available is extremely limited so you'll never want to purposefully discard Broww unless your hand is bad as discarding just about any other Dark World monster is better. That being said, Broww is great fodder for Danger! monsters and useful for padding the Dark World/Danger monster ratio... still there will be occasions where you wish that Broww was a different Dark World monster or a method of controlled discarding. I'd cut Broww to 2 and then play either a second copy of Sillva or a copy of Goldd if only because you need Dark World monsters to bounce for Grapha/Reign-Beaux and you search a lot with Reign-Beaux and can run out of targets with only 4 searchable cards in your deck. So, in my experience I have found a Dark World/Danger monster ratio of between 3:1 and 2:1 to be ideal. Drawing a handful of Danger! monsters sucks and drawing too many Danger! monsters and/or too many spells in your opening hand is one of the primary reasons you will lose games. Right now you're playing 18 Dark worlds to 13 Dangers or a ratio of roughly 2:1.44 which I believe means you'll discard Danger! monsters with other Danger! monsters way more than I prefer. You spell line up is essentially the pure minimum so you could beef that up a bit or play a few more Dark World monsters. At least cut the Ogopogo for something if you're not playing Danger! Response Team. I suggest replacing Neko Mane King with a second copy of Ceruli. Both can be bricks if you open them but the hand loop is, in my opinion, better than relying on being able to use the Grapha fusion, drawing into Neko Mane King, and keeping the Neko Mane King in hand. And with two Ceruli you can do this 1.) Discard Ceruli 2.) Ceruli special summons self to opponent's field and makes you discard 3.) Discard Reign-Beaux 4.) Reign-Beaux searches Sillva (or Goldd/Grapha/Lucent/OG Reign-Beaux) and then special summons a level 4 or lower "Dark World" from your DECK OR GRAVEYARD to EITHER field... so you special summon a second copy of Ceruli from your deck or graveyard to you opponent's field 5.) The 2nd Ceruli makes you discard 6.) Discard the searched Sillva (or Goldd/Grapha/Lucent/OG Reign-Beaux) to get the secondary effect Then if you pop 1 copy of Ceruli and bounce the other via Security Dragon, Akashic, Danger! Response Team, or otherwise pop both copies and get one back to hand via Charge into a Dark World or Monster Reborn and then bouncing for Grapha/Reign-Beaux and also get Reign-Beaux back to hand via Grapha then you can discard Ceruli to repeat steps 1-6 all over again you just search a different card with Reign-Beaux to beef up your hand. Knightmare Pheonix is certainly good on paper but I think you'll get more utility out of Security Dragon to recycle your Ceruli in order to rip more cards out of your opponent's hand. If playing only a single copy of Ceruli I'd go with Security Dragon over Akashic.

Your analysis is extremely in depth, greatly appreciated! What are your thoughts on Zalamander Catalyzer?
@PlagueSpreader64 Жыл бұрын
@@xEVERYBODYANDTHEIRMOM Zalamander is NOT an honorary danger. Danger! monsters are always a +1 when you discard a Dark World or another danger that replaces itself like Nessie. Danger! monsters are the gas of the deck and what allow you to pop off hard. Zalamander is a net 0 play. What Zalamander gives you is a controlled discard (no Danger! rng) which can be very nice to have and a reliable way to make rank 4 Xyzs which is nice if something has gone wrong and you need to find a way to Bagooska or Dugares. I'm assuming something has gone wrong because unless my hand or rng is bad I almost never go to make Dugares (especially if I'm at the point where I'm ready to make skull dread) and the only circumstances under which I would make Bagooska is again a bad hand or if I'm under a floodgate I can't out. Zalamander is sort of "settling" for a card with a lower ceiling than a Danger! monster but it's also a safety net as it's arguably more reliable. Zalamander doesn't mix well with Danger! monsters as you never want Zalamander to be hit by a Danger! monster so it can be suboptimal depending on your opening hand and immediate draws as you need another fiend to use Zalamander. When it's all said and done Zalamander is a perfectly acceptable option in the deck and can be played at 0-2 copies. However keep in mind that it is a hard once per turn and you have so much draw power that 3 copies is unacceptable and 2 copies might still brick. My ultimate point is too many people go "honorary danger" when in reality you don't play Danger! monsters and Zalamander for the same reasons. Apologies, I woke up not to long ago so I think I rambled a bit there. Though I think I got my point across.
@xEVERYBODYANDTHEIRMOM Жыл бұрын
@@PlagueSpreader64 thank you again brother, and don’t worry you didn’t ramble at all. @PlagueSpreader64 Жыл бұрын
@@xEVERYBODYANDTHEIRMOM Sure, not a problem. I'm always messing around with things but I've been playing around with the following recently. It does require some rethinking if Tear disappears next format because of then ban list because then Card Destruction and Dealings might be viable. This Danger! Dark World deck list's goal is to drop a ton of negates on the board and hand loop. The strongest opening turn this deck list can do is Apollousa (4 negates), Dragon Overlord (Sillva in hand), Number 38: Hope Harbinger, Number 22: Zombiestein (can negate Dark Ruler/Droplet as explained later), a Rank 4/8 Xyz such as Abyss Dweller or Dingirsu, a set Accession (Grapha in GY or hand), looping 4 cards out of your opponents hand, burning your opponent for 2400 LP, and having Archives for a second discard on your opponents turn. More realistically, assuming you don't brick horribly, you'll regularly put at least 5+ negates on board with a high probability of hand looping with Sillva and the possibility of Dweller in the process. Main Deck (40 cards, but easily expanded to a little over 45) -Dark Worlds 3x Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World - Grapha or Reign-Beaux could be brought down to 2. Reign-Beaux is the better card but Grapha is needed for the fusion so pick your poison. 3x Reign-Beaux, Overking of Dark World 2x Sillva, Warlord of Dark World - Sillva & Goldd to cover going first or second. 1x Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World 3x Snoww, Unlight of Dark World 3x Genta, Gateman of Dark World - Could be brought down to 2. Managing this card is important as you balance Genta being bad fodder for dangers vs the risk of drawing a copy of gates. Finally, it's a "dead" card once you use all your copies of gates as then it is only fodder for allure if you play it or dangers. 1x Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World - Helps make rank 4s, can be normal summoned, and provides an additional named monster for Skull Dread & Apollousa. Could be cut. 2x Broww, Huntsman of Dark World - Easily swapped out for something else if you think it provides more benefit. 2x Ceruli, Guru of Dark World - If I can loop cards from my opponents hand I am going to. If you don't want to hand loop Ceruli has other applications as well. - -Dangers! (highly customizable, though level 3/7s clog the board and Chupacabra is terrible to open even if going second) 3x Danger! Bigfoot! - Danger effect will resolve when discard, even if banished, providing a potential out to flood gates 1x Danger! Thunderbird! - Not as good as Bigfoot but it's another name and a dark level 8. Could be cut. 2x Danger! Nessie! - Level 7s can clog the board. However, you'd be a fool to play less than 2. 2x Danger! Mothman! - Careful about using Mothman's option effect if it is discarded. You don't want your opponent benefiting more than you do. Could be cut down to 1. 1x Danger! Chupacabra! - Could be put to 2 but if you don't have a danger in grave you're rolling the dice to see if you -1. It's a fiend which is nice. 1x Danger! Jackalope? - While being level 3 it can clog the board, it's another name for Skull Dread & Apollousa, and the discard effect is great for more level 8s. -10 3x The Gates of Dark World - Could be put to 2, but then the previously mentioned Genta problem is even worse. If you're playing 45+ cards there's almost no excuse to not playing 3 copies. 2x Dark World Accession - 2 is the right amount for a 40-50 card main deck. No more and no less. 1x Dark World Archives - Could go to 2, but 1 is enough. 1x Charge into a Dark World - Abuse Ceruli harder. Also a controlled discard and reusing a Snoww never hurt. 2x Trade-In - The cost to discard will trigger dangers and if you're going first you don't care that you don't pop a card with grapha because your opponent has nothing to pop. Discard targets can be searched with Snoww and Nessie. You can bounce Reign-Beaux to hand with Grapha and then pitch Reign-Beaux as cost. Could also be Allure or Triple Tactics Talents. 1x Cheerful Coffin - Replacement for Card Destruction, discarding 2x Sillva and 1x Beiige only to bounce all 3 for grapha/reign-beaux to make more rank 8s is delicious. Can also be used to chain stack to protect certain effects. Is useful in situations where Card Destruction is not. -10 Extra Deck 2x Grapha, Dragon Overlord of Dark World - Assuming Dragon Overlord on field, Grapha in grave, a set Accession, and your opponent some how removes the Dragon Overlord (D.O.) from the field. Chain link 1 is D.O., you then activate Accession as chain link 2, banishing the grapha to summon a second D.O. Then the chain link 1 D.O. special summons the banished grapha. 1x Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy - Cover negation of quick-play, field, and continous spells while providing battle protection to smaller monsters. 1x Coach King Giantrainer - If you resolve it you have won. Note, you can keep detaching material as cost even if the effect is negated to free up its material. 1x Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star - Does not target and sends 1 card to grave, decent body, & protects your cards. Could also be replaced with Springans Ship - Exblowrer, though Exblowrer destroys cards. Could also be Underworld Goddess of the Closed World but I always find myself going to Dingirsu to out problematic cards as my first option instead of Underworld Goddess. 1x Number 22: Zombiestein - It's a bit of a toss up between this card and Number 23: Lancelot, Dark Knight. I went with Number 22 because it provides and answer to Forbidden Droplet and Dark Ruler No More without playing a trap like Solemn Judgement... assuming you can set Accession and have a Grapha available. In the case of Droplet they need to not send a spell. You chain Accession to Droplet/Dark Ruler and then chain Number 22 to Accession to target the face-up Droplet/Dark Ruler and negate it. 1x Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir - I rarely make this card. But if you need to stall... 1x Abyss Dweller - Can outright can win games. However, I typically have enough negates by the fusion, Apollousa, Number 38 and Number 22 and so almost never makes this card. 1x Number 60: Dugares The Timeless - Also rarely made. However, when I need it it's great to have. 1x Saryuja Skull Dread - A good extender that helps solve problems like clogged monster card zones from dangers and dead cards in hand. 1x Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess - Pretty much always has 4 negates. 1x Akashic Magician - To get the most out of it you need to place Danger! monsters in zones to bounce both them and a Ceruli. Becomes nearly useless the moment you put a monster in the extra monster zone with a type you can't match. 1x Security Dragon - Useful for bouncing Ceruli in more situations than Akashic Magician. Additionally, you can be a lot less careful about your monster zones. 1x Muckraker From The Underworld - Could be replaced as I only make this card if something has gone really wrong. Terrible hands, you some how entered the grind game, or you really want to loop cards with Sillva 1 more time. 1x Cross-Sheep - Could easily be replaced but it's a neat extender and good for clearing a clogged board if you need to. Can help recycle a Ceruli or Snoww.

@@xEVERYBODYANDTHEIRMOM There's a lot of ways to play Dark Worlds though. You can play anywhere from 40 to 50 cards. There's 3 FTKs that I know about. Ceruli + Lucent letting you special summon ANY fiend from your deck to EITHER field enables all manner of shenanigan's [For a funny not competitive example, using book of eclipse and then using Lucent to special summon Byser Shock from your deck to return all set cards (monsters, spells and traps) back to the hand] or for a possibly competitive option you can special summon Barrier Statue of the Abyss from your deck to your field, Dark Worlds + Tear was a thing, Dark World + Branded is still a thing with either an extra deck full of Fusion monsters or just Albion + Branded in High Spirits for a little discard and draw power, Danger! Dark World + a small Therion engine to turbo out Coach King or OTK is a thing, you can try synchro monsters via Fabled Raven or Infernity Sage both of which can be special summoned from the deck via Lucent and special summoned from the graveyard by Charge into a Dark World to synchro again and their discard effects aren't hard once per turns, and more. I love the deck because there's just so many options.

Neko Mane King is objectively worse than a focus on the hand loop. You won't get to discard Neko Mane King via the Grapha fusion if it gets kaiju'd, hand trapped, dark ruler/droplet'd, etc not to mention the RNG involved in drawing and then keeping Neko Mane King in your hand. You take 4 cards out of your opponent's hand and put them on the bottom of their deck what's your opponent going to do about your 5+ negates on the board?
@toshihironeedels1671 Жыл бұрын
That would work, however, it’s better to have something that doesn’t brick you, like if you ran pot of avarice to recycle celuri and Neko mane king. I also think having a resonator engine to also pump out synchros could benefit from it.

I'll have to disagree. Dark World decks can pull off insane stuff from 3 different ways to FTK that I know off, ripping up to 5 cards out of your opponent's starting hand, putting up to 8 negates on the board turn 1, and just silly stuff because for some reason Lucent can special summon ANY fiend from the deck to EITHER field and while not necessarily meta relevant there are so many ways to abuse it that I won't bother listing them. I love Dark Worlds and the deck is STRONG. The problem that Dark World's have always had is the amount of hard counters. Even if Macro and Dimensional Fissure stayed at 1 or was it banned? if Tear wasn't so strong that Konami did that you still have Dweller, Shadow Imprisoning Mirror, Anti-Spell Fragrance, Dimension Shifter, Droll & Lock Bird, and walking Macro Cosmos like Banisher of the Radiance and Banisher of the Light. With so many hard counters Dark World decks doing well at a competitive level is just shooting themselves in foot as hard counters become more and more popular. So Dark Worlds aren't ever going to be tier 1 unless some support either direct or indirect comes out that can be main decked and counters the vast majority of Dark World flood gates. That being said, you can still absolutely tear up your locals with a little luck.

@animeguy10000000 Жыл бұрын
You need them. Reign-Beaux searches your monsters, and Grapha pops cards. There is also a resource loop involving them. If you have another Dark World monster on the field, like Sillva on the field, you return it to the hand to summon Reign-Beaux from the grave, then you bounce Reign-Beaux to the hand to return Grapha from the graveyard. This gives you two extra cards in your hand for free and gives you more options to discard for the Grapha fusion monster. You also need to have three Grapha so that you can summon the Grapha fusion monster.
@PlagueSpreader64 Жыл бұрын

No. If this card is discarded to the Graveyard by a card effect: If it was discarded from your hand to your Graveyard by an opponent's card effect, you can target 1 monster in your opponent's Graveyard, add 1 "Dark World" card from your Deck to your hand, then Special Summon that target (if any) in face-up Defense Position.
