There ain't no such thing as Spanish Louisiana Creoles here in Louisiana. That's just something that was made up just to try to undermine us Black-American LaLwizyàna Kréolités here in Louisiana.

Now, these are REAL Spanish people. (Not mestizo Mexicans or mulatto Puerto Ricans) P.S. Most Cubans/Cuban-Americans in the U.S. are of the same stock as these folks.

Idk if you know where the Canary Islands are, but the Canary Islanders are very different from mainland Spaniards.

Not really, most of them are mixed with French and other nationalities that have been in Louisiana for ages. They are far from being "pure Spanish". Not sure where you got this idea or how/why you found the next to make such a weird statement. "Muh look at these hicks they are true Spaniards let me flex that on Latinos lol"

@@fernandotapia7667I think he said that because Americans mistakingly call Latin Americans “Spanish people” and our identity is that of Spanish-Americans.

Hola! De qué año es esta grabación? Tiene cara que de mediado de los 80. Ojalá que el castellano por allá esté aún vivo. Saludos de un chileno en Suecia. Hi! From which year is the recording? It seems that it is from the middle of the 80's. I really hope that the spanish language is still alive in that area. Greerings from a Chilean in Sweden.

That sounds like Mexican music, that doesn’t sound right. I imagine they are call Isleños because they are coming from the Canary Islands.

Cielito Lindo became popular in many Spanish speaking countries, not only in Mexico. Their accent is not Mexican, it's very similar to the accent of the Canary Islands.

@@EGarza-mk2mk Yes, I’m Perez and I’m Peruvian. I can’t imagine watching a documentary of Peru and the soundtrack is from Chile. That would be confusing…

@@SergioRPerezWe have traditional canarian music too it’s the music played at our fiesta, it’s just in this video the band was playing the Mexican song cielito lindo which became a popular song with our grandparents decades ago (it came to us via Texas, our neighbor state). We don’t play Mexican music outside of that one song. Also, we are Americans so we also play American music too but for our fiesta we play Canarian music and dance Canarian dances and dress in 18th century colonial style Canarian costumes to celebrate.

@@IslenoGutierrez Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me. Again the Americas is so large and because I visited many countries and places, including New Orleans, I know that everywhere they developed their own music and traditions.
