Better yet, why not call Kankakee 911 to dispatch a patrol car immediately instead of waiting until the next day? Admittedly, the Kankakee police would have had to backtrack the same way the Woodstock officer did but at least 12 hours would have been saved. Just a word to the wise, if your kid runs away with friends, gets abandoned by them. And calls for money to come home do not send money. Tell them to stay right there that you're coming to get them and leave immediately to go get them. While you're on the way call the local authorities. Explain the situation and plead, beg or bribe them to look after them until you get there.

So true or even call the police and give them their location ?
@Mischa21xo11 ай бұрын
A lot of the times, if your kid is in a different state, you cannot go to get them for many different reasons, and the amount of time it would take for you to get a flight there only to come back would be ridiculous. I would ask where my child is, make sure they are in a safe or public location like a restaurant or something, then I would call the local police and tell them the situation. If the police you are on the phone with is in a major city or a city with an airport, I would ask them to please pick my child up and drop them off at the airport so I know they are at the airport safely and will not get kidnapped by somebody. After I get off the phone with the police, I'm booking my child a flight back home, calling them back and staying on the phone with them until the police arrive. Then the police pick them up, drop them off, and the child takes their flight home and that is that. It is mind boggling though what kind of parenting you would have to be doing to ever find yourself in that situation to begin with. So many God awful parents out there and so many parents that only parent halfway where they forget or are just too exhausted to deal with/teach their children some of the most important things like basic respect/self respect, morals, values, manners, honesty etc. If you instill those very important things into your children throughout their lives, your child isn't going to be pregnant at 15 or running away out of state either... but very very few parents ever do, which is why so many are in such terrible situations with their children, because they only want to parent halfway, or not at all...then things happen like they did in this video. Really sad.

Alright they are still alive, but they suffer. Death is easy, and they are not truely suffering. I definitely think death is the easy way out.

It is said murderers cross a person’s path every 7 minutes. It is a dangerous world out there. Jesse had a habit of making poor decisions. When I was younger, that’s why people enlisted in the Navy. Grow up, see the world, get paid a bit and then the Navy will pay for your college after 4 years in the Navy, I think it was. So sad for everyone. Prayers and blessings going out to everyone.

Sounds like they failed not finding her sooner. They didn’t search using cadaver dogs.

it is so very sad that these 2 kids were taken so early in life.

Sometimes the cops seem more interested in keeping the evidence than they are in keeping the person alive. If she went to a Hanson concert that would likely be fatal

The parents should sue the friends who stole Jesse’s car.

I applaud the relentless work of these investigators , i really do but one of the 1st things that crossed my mind when they found Jesse's body was why are you not looking further up the tracks...like miles further This brings back memoris of the Caylee Anthony case and how she was found so close to home There is no way they even searched that area because they would have smelled decomp with her only being 17 feet from the road Its not just that or this case ...its many Time and time again i veiw cases where the missing or dead are right under their noses they just dont go far enough...

There has to be a law stopping defense lawyers from asking a prime suspect not to talk to the investigating police.if not that guilty conscience got over the merendez guy, he wouldn't have confessed on his lawyer's orders.

Anyone who can go out of their way to play a prank like that should have some repercussions for their actions. Fined a price for the family.

Judging by the photos, Wendy must have been a very personable young woman.

Wait, why didn’t they use the cadaver dogs to find Wendy in the first place?

It's crazy how this monster just decided to get on a train and decide I'm gonna be a railway killer today and randomly just pick these young innocent couple.....Execution was the right choice...

I understand why they are put to death, but the convicted does not truely suffer, death is the easy out. They are put to death humanely and suffer nothing at all. All that happens is that are gone from this life. Just my opinion for what it’s worth.

Why would you stop your client from talking while he is on death row in Texas? It's not like it can get any worse than that, they are not famous for converting death sentences. You are just preventing the families from knowing where their kids are. The ring and the Winnie-the-Pooh watch of 16-year-old Wendy made me sad. She wanted to be so grown-up and married but was still such a kid that deserved so much more.

Wait, they get a distressed call believing it was their daughter and police wait until the following day to follow the lead? I’d have been in my car in seconds even if it ended up not being her.

Sometimes I wonder if some, not all, of these psychopaths or sociopaths keep on killing so as to be caught and put away.

Does not pay to run away. Sad, young lives wasted. Together in death.
