Still, the pellets don't disappear in mid air. And the spread hasnt got a diameter of 1-2m at a range of 10m. Shotguns in games are always bullshit, which is sad... Even though i gotta say they are ok in wildlands. I was kinda suprised about them.

@@Blobb2013 yeah i agree most video games even long barrel shotguns are useless beyond 5 yards, my Mossberg 590 with a 20" smooth bore and no choke will make a kill shot 50 yards out loaded with 3" 00 buck. I just started playing Ghost Recon and noticed the Super Shorty has tighter spread pattern then the long double barrel in Farcry 5.

It seems that at some point in videogaming history there must been a conference where developers reached wide agreement that shotguns should all behave like the bubble rifle from contra. The reality is probably that it is a weird holdover from old shooting games like Doom where engagement distances where seldom further than across the room.

I watched this video and jumped in the game to see if this had been fixed sometime in the last 4 months. As far as damage, it seems that ALL shotguns are now ridiculously OP, and are excellent for dealing with vehicles. Even the Super Shorty can now one shot an Armored SUV. It remains a very short range weapon compared with the El Cuentista.

@Darkdally I think Ubisoft fixed this in their Special Operation 4 update. I tested it out again both in Tier 1 mode (rank 1 extreme difficulty) and regular mode extreme difficulty, and in both modes, it took about 4 shots or more to completely destroy any vehicle. *UPDATE* So turns out what I said before was just a multiplayer glitch. I tried it out in single player and it still one-shots anything. I feel like I'm gonna be forced to use a grenade launcher whenever I'm playing with someone else just to make sure that I can actually efficiently destroy vehicles. (Although I've seen that other video where you shot an apache 3 times with the M203 and it still didn't do shit, which... again.... BULLSHIT UBISOFT XD)

Well, and I know it's late, the predator isn't killed by damage. It's by how many times it engages you and just how many bullets hit it. Damage is irrelevant in the mission

The SR 25 Jungle is overlooked a lot too. It one hits any air vehicle, and has an unpredictable 1-2 hit kill with infantry. Not to mention 20 rounds of carnage.

I just received the “Ice Shard” in a red loot crate. It’s a pump action from the “Yeti” dlc. It can’t be customized. I haven’t looked to see if it is a Mossberg 590 or Remington 870.

I have used this since I unlocked it. You can snipe ppl down helicopter blow up cars in one shot up to 120 yards.... I think it has been nerfed though. Its lvl 1 and now it wony do it. I ran this shotty with the unidad RPK... Super cool setup.... try it!!!!

wildlands damage model takes into account distance traveled by projectile, objects in the way that slow the bullet, speed of the bullet, silencers attached to the weapon and many more, so fieldtests like how many shots to kill a pickup truck may have slight inconsistencies. Hey dark I think the reason for it doing more damage than the normal shortly is the guy you get it from uses special shells in it in the game. So the gun probably reflects that. It’s probably the range on the red one that’s bugged maybe not the damage

The super shorty has glitched stats. The super shorty on Ghost War has very high damage and 2 shots players, but like you said in the video it has "super short range".

This has always been my weapon for room clearing..ever seen a room of Unidad soldiers hiding behind one desk?? First time I got it before interrogating the commander for location of the lovers I alerted the base and allowed them to enter the ground floor the first guy up the steps flew and his batches ran for cover it was funny with me firing one then reloading to reduce time.

I know this is wicked old, but l have been rewatching all these episodes and I have a thought. In narco culture the big players hire celebrity performers to write songs about them in a legendary over the top way. It’s like a comic book in music about the fast drug life. If you know Spanish narcocoridos are awesome. The lore on this weapon says it belongs to one of these performers so I think it could have other worldly powers. Like supernatural damage. Actually Killing El Wey rewards the ¡UY! Which in its description accurately states half burned like its owner whereas El Cuenista belongs to the corrido performer who's name eludes me and if memory serves it's only the text on who it's rewarded from that is bugged but it may be that the weapons are rewarded in reverse.

Shotguns are high velocity weapons probably higher then snipers so i would expect the pellets to hit a target more then idk 12 yards but the pellets will spread and slow down a bit so i wouldn't say its glitched. But destroying the engine of a armored APC either it is glitched or it has Flechette ammo.(Talking about both Super Shortys)

my experience was that a sawed off m870 actually is very dangerous and eficient up to 40-50meters distance, the standard shorty is way to underpowered and the red one is way to overpowered. Lets talk about killing cars if you take it realistic enough you wont be able at all, no mater what shotgun you use, to kill any car because standard 12gauge buckshot has to less pierce to damage any metal components from a motorblock or things like that, on the other side. Tank and wateringsystems as well as forniture may be totaly shredded.
