Darkeater Midir - No Damage Taken [Melee, NG++]

Almost done with my no-hit run against #darksouls3 bosses. Apologies for the weird cropping on this; my OBS has been very uncooperative with DS3 in particular, and I'm not exactly sure why. Hope you enjoy!

Greatest dragon boss fromsoft has made imo

Still the best Dragon Boss fight From Soft has done. Dragons in ER are a sight to behold but fighting them doesn't feel as satisfying as Midir. He is chaotic rampaging and clawing all over the arena to terrify and overpower you but once you get used to the dodge timing his boss fight starts having a flow. He tests your ability to be patient and find opening more than any other boss. And he can be extremely frustrating because of his health pool for new players which is how a dragon boss fight should feel. He is not so different than Nameless King in the main game in this respect that you have to git gud but it all feels so natural and well suited to Dark Souls combat style. Telegraphing on his attacks is a big help as well. They took the health pool of ancient dragon from DS2 but made it a pretty well rounded and intense and immensely satisfying boss fight.

Yeah things did not go according to plan lol. I needed more Friede footage for my video on her, and normally you can use a mod to revive bosses, but it was glitching with her, so I had to go through two game cycles to get everything I wanted. Last night I was like "you idiot, why didn't you do Midir first?!" 🤣
