I find colour analysis so interesting but often do not see the slight differences. The first blue looks amazing on you. I once read that the inherent colours are always a good match. And this blue is almost the colour of your eyes. So sweet to see a picture of your young version 😊. I can see that the pink suits your son much better. He also looks straight at you which supports the impression. With orange he does not. Your daughter in law looks in my eyes pretty in both brown and black but brown is softer. I’m so glad to have gotten my True Spring result from your company! I had thought I was an Autumn for many years, but my skin is light, so many of the Autumn tones, while basically harmonious, were a bit too overwhelming and disconnecting from my peachy coloring. If you’re on the fence about getting a professional analysis, go for it. (No, Carol & Co are not paying me-I’m just very pleased with their work 😊).

I've gotten pretty good at finding my colors now, but whenever I have a question about one - first off, if Im questioning, it's probably not my best - I do ask myself: "Fabric first or face first?' Really a good check!

I agree! I have so many internet fails that looked like they were going to be perfect. I either have things that are actually too muted or things too deep and/or bright. On my card is says cool muted colors from light to deep… the colors on my card are mostly light and in my wallet, they’re much more saturated. I know I am too literal. And then there are patterns… Carol, help us with patterns, please!

I can see that the colors you indicate look better on them, especially your son, but I’m having trouble seeing the disconnect you are describing. I don’t think I could see it on my own. I didn’t know people are drawn to darker colors, that’s interesting to know !

I get what you're saying, but honestly, on your son the pink looks better with his skin tone (to me). The orange seems to blend with his tone and bring out the orange undertones of his skin. The softer blue definitely looks better on you but I think mostly because it matches your eyes better and makes them pop.

What am I ? gray blue eyes, ivory skin warm undertone, low contrast, brown coppery hair, freckles, I tan and don’t burn. I can’t figure out. I look awful in mustard. Ivory and oatmeal color too pale washes me out.

You would need to get a colour analysis to figure it out. It’s about checking which colours are in harmony with your colouring - can’t tell from a description like this 😊
