However, from what I both observed from others and personally experienced, girl's with "daddy issues" have trust issues and often times are very guarded emotionally. For example, I have alot of trust issues because my dad would lie to me. His love for me was conditional. Praise and "I love you" was always based off what I did or did not do. For instance, if he came from work and my room wasn't clean he would get mad at me and threaten to leave me because apparently, "I don't love him or else I would do what he told me to do like cleaning my room". Strong emotions set him off. So if I cried because I had a rough day he would tell me to "shut up, stop crying, or I'll give you something to cry about". As a result, I am only emotionally vulnerable to a few people. I grew up feeling like I was never good enough for him. I say all that to explain that basically, often times a girl that doesn't have or had a good relationship with their father leads to trust issues. As a result, when they meet someone who actually loves them, it can seem fake. Therefore, they can come off cold or mean. I don't mean that they are bullies, but they are just extremely emotionally guarded.

I can answer this for you as another girl who got a broken heart by the Dad. I lost my mom to cancer in 2022. I hate my Dad so much that I wish it was him that was dead not my mom. He made our lives a hell from our childhood with alcohol and with bad influence of his maternal family. He drank every days and had fights with my mom and even he verbally abused us. He never shown any love or affection towards us and behaved in a way that we are his enemies. When he was sober he went on with his career and silent most of the time. But as soon as he drinks his tantrums started. He never let us leave the home happily when we were going out for some functions or any gatherings. He always taunted us with his psychological tantrums and verbal abuse. Coming from an Asian country my mom didnt divorce him and tolerated. Even me and my sister was also not aware of going to legal aid. Time went by like this and one time my dad behaved very embarrassed in font of a guy and his family when they visited our home as a part of a marriage proposal. That guy and I liked eachother very much and both of us had high hopes on getting married to eachother as we were talking romantically before his visit to my home. eventually his mom rejected me saying the father is embarrassing. The guy also had to agree with his mom unfortunately which shattered my heart. My sister is married and lives separately but hates my dad she barely talks to him. so do I. However now my dad regrets how he behaved and now tries to mend our connection with him. Too bloody late. Now Im 39 and still single and missing mom like hell. I live in the same house with dad and i look after him. But i barely talk to him. I do house chores and gives his medicine that's all. I'm waiting to be free from this responsibility as well. This is what it feels to be broken hearted by own dad. 💔😐😒😣😞
