The saddest death has to be Fives. He was so close to exposing the Order 66 conspiracy, but his life was cut short by Commander Fox. He was also a close friend of Rex and Anakin, so his death had a huge impact on those two. It hit Rex especially hard. Fives was one of the greatest and bravest clones to serve. I wish he could have survived.

And it directly resulted in Rex hesitating and resisting gunning down Ahsoka during Order 66, at least for enough time to tell her what she had to know.
