@@PredatorGamingTR I think he made the right choices. His group was ambushed, and the men in the main ship didn’t seem to have time to disembark. Even if they did, the few men they did have most likely wouldn’t have bought more than a few minutes. The vulture droids and their bomber counterparts had complete air superiority, and seemingly the only reason why the clones on the platform weren’t strafed or bombed indiscriminately was because they were focused on the LAAT’s.

​@PredatorGamingTR They needed to get off the landing pad, so having his men get on the ships was the best order at the time. The Hyena Bombers came out of nowhere and didn't give Thorn enough time to get his men off the frigate. There was no way that they were going to survive unless they retreated inside, which would have resulted in letting the Seperatists amass a small army on the landing pad to take the building. Thorn made the best decisions he could given the circumstances.

I always thought of the rocket launchers the clones use as being akin to Javelin missiles in real life. There are scenes of them appearing to curve as if they have some basic guidance capability, but are primarily anti-armor and anti-ground weapons that happen to be able to target low flying starfighters in a pinch. IRL, Javelins are primarily anti-tank missiles, with some basic guidance systems to improve their effective range. While they are designed for use against ground targets, they are also capable of locking onto low flying aircraft such as helicopters. Javelins seem to be the closest counterpart to the rocket launchers the clone troopers use.

I love Commander Thorn's last stand. It was just so cool because he didn't know the republic he didn't grow up in it. He had no family in the Republic on one of the core words. I absolutely detest Commander Fox and the Coruscant Guard, that being said Commander Fordo and especially Commander Thorn showed the highest honors, fighting to the very end against unbeatable odds. Fordo is a gigachad from the original Clone Wars miniseries, but Thorn and his men were true soldiers of the Republic who gave their lives in a valiant last stand and they have my utmost respect
