Hey, Doug. When you draw for a Quest you draw 2 quest cards and pick which one you want to run. The other one you didn't pick is no longer available, so your second quest before the boss will be chosen from the next 2. Just got this on my table yesterday. There's a fair bit to keep track of once you get a ways into a campaign, there is a lot of setup time, and my table space is rather cluttered with all the stuff separated. Yet I'm enjoying it. Seems to move along at a decent clip once you got it down. I just wish the game came with a complete turn summary for all the facets. I expect a user-created one will show up before long. This isn't an unusual complaint, however. Quite a few games are lacking in complete summaries, or have very minimalist ones that don't include important parts. Anyway, good to see you running this series on the channel. Maybe I'll pick up on something I missed in the rules.

Thanks for the reminder on the quest. I will look at the one to discard. I probably would have kept this one anyway due to the money/XP aspect of it. I agree that it would be nice to have a full flow chart or summary. I bet an enterprising gamer will post one to BGG soon enough.

Like you I loved the video game. You might have been the one to turn me onto it in fact. I passed on this, but I'll watch it to see if I should regret that decision. Good luck.

I'm someone who ordered the game off their website, having been very aware of the issues with the campaign. I'm also into another one of their games that's in limbo. But having seem some of it, the game looks great and I wanted to get it. That said, I made my order a few weeks ago and have heard nothing about when I might receive it. I don't think anyone is getting retail copies before backers, but I understand why people are upset.

You can join their discord where there's more activity. But yes, they stated that all backers will get their copies first.

They lied! I bought my copy, with Kickstarter extras, in retail, whilst backers and people who ordered off the website, are still waiting. And paid less than if I had backed it, as although the price was slightly higher for the game, that included taxes and postage was low.

I want to know who OKed the color and font choices. The stress tracker is nearly invisible. If you turn the lights up, too much glare.

I have an ancestral pledge that I have yet to receive. I am in contact with Mythic and they acknowledged they still owe me it and it's been 7 weeks since last I heard from them. Mind you my pledge was from the initial kickstarter so it's been years. I ended up buying the retail version so I can play it but I want my friggin pledge. It really annoys me. so I know what you mean about being frustrated.

I am sorry that you are experiencing that. I hope they do right by you. I ordered a couple extra bits from their site....I should not have as now those bits are in retail and I could have had them weeks back. I do not think they have even shipped yet from Mythic.

@@Dougmysticeye it’s almost as if they got the chance to go to retail and just forgot about the backers of the Kickstarter that were there with them from the beginning. I ended up spending extra money and buying a version of the game from retail because I wanted it in my hands and was tired of waiting. So even if and when they send me my pledge it’s just gonna be extra stuff but I’ll probably just hold onto it. At this point I just want my pledge. I’ll let you know how it goes. In the meanwhile I really enjoy your videos and the enthusiasm you have for the game. I subscribed and will continue to watch whatever you post

Yup..DD is the last Mythic Games that I back...the rest of Mythic KS, I have either cancelled it or just let the USD1 pledge expire. Not going to support them in the near term, until they start behaving themselves

Yeah. This is a tough one for me. The product has really turned out nice but it was a painful KS campaign to be sure.

Unfortunately, I could not wrap my head around the size of the game and the fiddly nature of the gameplay. I was interested but the play throughs did not appeal to me. Maybe I can be shown I am wrong with your vids. Failing that, I am satisfied with DD 1 and 2.

In play it does not seem to be as complicated as I thought. It is fiddly which might make it prone to mistakes but we shall see.
