Similar happened to me at the grocery store. The $15K 2005 Dodge Neons went on sale for $9999 on a close out and I was wondering why the key wouldn't open the door on my 3 day old car. I tried hitting Lock on the keybob and a car 3 spots over (behind a PU) beeped. I looked around and there were 5 identical looking 2005's, all with dealer tags, within an apple's throw away. To make matters funnier, another guy was standing behind my car with a puzzled look on his face. I pointed over my shoulder and said, "Try that one". I guess the red metallic was popular, as the neighbor's daughter also bought one. I put a tiny dot sticker on the driver's window.

We had a restaurant open up where I live shortly after lockdown restrictions were lifted (because THATS the perfect time to start a new business /s) we're a rural area with a small Facebook group and the place was absolutely bombed with bad reviews. Not "the food was bad" or "my steak was overcooked" but "I found a twist tie in my salad, when I talked to the manager they said I was making it up", "I found plastic wrap in my mashed potatoes", "I ordered my steak medium rare and it was still frozen in the center"; just major complaints up to and including one where the person talked about the chef throwing their order at them because they asked for their Hamburger to be remade because it was partially raw (and that post got backed up with people saying they saw that but didn't know that's what it was about) but everytime someone posted a complaint instead of addressing it the owners would respond by attacking the person with the complaint. Took them about six months before they went out of business.

Public road hogs are everywhere. A friend of mine who rented had a next door neighbor who owned his home. He would basically claim all the street in front of his house as his property, to the point of blocking the spaces all week long with his garbage bins (illegal, but he got away with it). He aimed his security cameras towards the area, and even once towards their side, which resulted in a police call because it was directed at bedroom windows. He threatened my friend and the other tenants (as far as calling their landlord to say that he suspected them of dealing drugs). This guy had multiple cars, so he blocked up his own driveway, tried to bully my friend and her housemates into giving up their driveway, and took over the three spots in front of his house. He would have to move the cars occasionally because people cannot park on the street for more than 72 hours, but often got away with it because people were too busy with their lives to bother. Oh, and he would call the police on friend and housemates for overlong parking, despite the fact that they move every day when they go to work, and were often out doing stuff on weekends. I offered to piss him off by parking my car badly and dead center in "his parking area" when I visited, since I didn't live there so my car was not familiar, but I suspected that he would have escalated the harassment if he saw me walking into their house.

Talking of coucil estates..I live in a block of flats....ground floor...with a patio ( just so you have a bit of background ). Now obviously some people have pets...even if said pets are cooped up indoors most of the day...and that includes...cats ! Onto the story. I'd got back from doing my laundry one afternoon when I had a lunatic woman banging on my door and screaming at me to "get the f*ck out here RIGHT NOW!". So...( as you do ) I take my time...and eventually arrive at the front door. There's a 'slightly' irate woman there, who ( before I can even open my mouth ) starts in on me...telling me ( in no uncertain tones ) all about what an irresponsible pet owner I am, about how she was going to call the police, the RSPCA, the council...( I think the 2nd Battalion Parachute regiment were mentioned...and probably the SAS as well )...she continued on about how FED UP she was with her poor little puddy tat getting beaten up, clawed, scratched, bruised and (since it's female) being raped by my BIG UGLY BA$T@RD OF A CAT! She paused for breath...( remarkable how long some people can go without seeming to breathe ) before continuing on her rant. I don't suppose I helped matters much by remaining calm, leaning against the door frame and nodding occasionally, basically the way a guy does when a woman is going into one and won't listen to anything you say. Eventually ( after a lot of neighbours came out to see what the hell was going on ) she calmed down...a bit. Then demanded to know what I was going to do about it. I sighed slightly...looked down at her and said. 'Nothing I....'. Well...before I could say another word she's of again! This time she's SCREAMING at me and looking as if she could take on the entire compliment of the "Bulldog Bash" ( Big biker meet in the UK ) and kick the crap out of all of them ( including the Hells Angels ) single handed. Then the police turned up. One of the neighbours had obviously called them. So...they park the car, climb out, and walk over to where this woman is still screaming and ranting and raving...not giving me the slightest chance to say anything. One of the policemen puts his hand on her shoulder ( after having spoke to her a few times and been ignored). She turned lifting her hand...I honestly thought she was going to put one on the guy...but she changed her mind at the last moment and dropped her hand. Then she starts in on them...telling them all about what a terrible person I am, how irresponsible I am and how I should never be allowed to have ANY pet, let alone a cat that was uncontrollable. Cop looks at me...'is that true Sir'?...I sighed and shook my head. 'Nope...I don't have a cat...you want the people next door'. EDIT: I posted this before I'd read / listened to the whole story...but...I think that might have been the same cat ! ;-)

The last month or so I've had jerks putting up signs blocking anyone from parking on my street and saying they'll tow us if we do. It's so rude, half the time they won't even let us drive on our street. They're out there all day using noisy equipment. Just because they work for the city and they've been digging up the water lines to replace them (not sure the exact reason) doesn't mean I should have to listen to them! In case it's not clear, I'm being sarcastic.

Something I’ve always wondered. When does police reports become harassment? And at what point in repeated harassment does the cop become an accessory to the harassment? You get thirty calls for one person all unsubstantiated. Aren’t they smart enough to stop it?

The last story from UK is the best. Brits always take home the oscars for sarcasm. I lived for a bit in UK in a neighborhood mostly consisting of retired people. They were all jovial and cool except for one guy who was very territorial about road side parking in the entire neighborhood. But other people were generally nice. He once got upset with me that I parked at a spot different from my regular spot besides my house. Others would gossip about him with me. It was fun living there.

#4 reminds me of something I saw at a Perkins. This super annoying couple just let their kids run all over the place, management asked them several times to control their kids and they're just like "Oh it's fine just let them play." Then out of nowhere one of the kids who was running while looking over his shoulder blasts directly into a waitress carrying a platter of food to someone's table, resulting in dishes and food going flying everywhere. The parents just quickly collected their kids and ran away in the confusion, not only ruining everyone else's experience, but dining and dashing too.

I really don't care about neighbors parking in front of my house. Every now and then, someone blocks my driveway (normally because the whole street gets parked solid when certain neighbors hold a family get together or party), but they're generally very apologetic and move the vehicle promptly when I nicely ask them to move it. The only time my driveway was blocked and I just had to wait was when the offending vehicle was an ambulance. In that instance, I didn't even bother making an issue of it. They were responding to a medical emergency next door, so I just took a quick pic of my driveway blocked by emergency vehicles and texted my supervisor to let them know I'd be late.

Good kitty for pooping on entitled rude neighbors yard!
@rae68572 жыл бұрын
Last story, totally ridiculous, but I can get the frustration of a cat doing it’s business on your yard. We have a garden and our neighbors cats keep pooping in it and eating off the most of the veggies and fruits. I guess I don’t understand why I can’t have a dog that roams around, but people can have cats? I get the size difference, but allowing your cat to be doing all that, on your neighbors property is super frustrating. It’s like having a strangers dog pooping in your yard, when you have pets no self.

I think most entitled moms don't understand how dangerous it can be to just let their kid run wild, restaurants are mostly not equipped to have children running around like it's a McDonald's playplace. They're lucky no one got actually hurt.

Back in the "70's", us kids used to "pool hop" the apartment complexes in our town. We'd leave when kicked out and then go to the next, not private homes though. Attitudes and culture were different then. Even being kicked out, those folks usually had a smile and understood kids having some summer fun.

I was eating a the local McDonald's and a guy yelled at the cashier because his order took awhile to get. I had finished my meal and exited the north side of the building, walked around the back and to the south side and pulled a tool out if my shirt pocket and removed the valve core out of all 4 of his tires. Walked back in on the north side and order a large drink and took a seat and sipped on the cold drink. He went insane when he walked out and tried to blame the employees for damaging his car. I came back the next day and dropped the 4 cores on the counter when I paid for my meal and gave the young lady a 😉

Guy came in and was a prick to a new waitress. From where he was sitting, he could see his white car parked sideways across almost 3 spots. It was early even and not quite dusk. The dishwashers, learning what happened snuck out the back door, took their paintball guns and peppered his car with paintballs. They weren’t that small of marks either. Afterwards, they called us to the back to tell us what they did and we waited, straight faced for a little over an hour and he discovered it when he went out to his car. Of course the paint had long dried. No new or leaving customers, no new cars arriving the whole time and he was constantly seeing the staff!

Street parking is also a huge issue in Hawaii. In the good old days when we were a sleepy little town, roads were narrow, not much development but as we grew into a big city with overdevelopment and building that little street became a major street and the need for street parking is overwhelming. So enter parking wars. Especially original homeowners are claiming the public parking in front of their house is "theirs ". Commence the usage of trash cans, traffic cones and other moveable objects to "save" their space. I had nails put in my tire by one nasty neighbor because I dare park in "his" space. Can't prove it but I know it was him. Fights continue to this day. Oh, and the ones with closed garages? Why that's their extra storage, work shop, etc. NOT to park cars in.

Regarding story 5, I grew up next to a couple like that. I live in a small borough outside a small city. While most of the homes have driveways, you are allowed to park on the street during the day. As long as the street and nearby driveways aren't blocked and you're not on someone's grass, nobody cares. Not the losers who lived next door to my parents. We were constantly getting nasty notes on our cars, if we dared to park in front of their house. At the time, we had multiple vehicles--I had a car, and both of my parents had one. Three vehicles in the driveway, and depending on who needed to go where (or which vehicle was needed), we sometimes had to swap them around. Again, no big deal, right? Wrong. More notes, nasty gestures from their house. It all came to a boil one morning as I was leaving for work. Apparently, the exhaust from my old car was "killing their plants," and the guy threatened to call the cops on me. I got in his face, told him to go ahead...but that I'd be pressing charges on him for harassment and trespassing. There was one last instance of the cops being called, but since the car was legally parked (again, not blocking the driveway, not up on the curb or grass), there was nothing they could do. A few years later, I moved out. But, if dropped by my mom's, I'd park there...just to torque them off. Oh, and if you're wondering, they were the neighbors that everyone on the block hated. They would harass everyone else, and then play the victim card when people retaliated.

Story 1: you say "Oh thank goodness." Then gather the attention of the restaurant by loudly exclaiming "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am proud to announce that Lady Syscal and Ebert has returned from the porcelain thrown to give our restauraunt two thumbs up! We shan't be closed by her poor yelp review. So as head chef, I would like to thank you for joining in this momentum occasion and for those waiting for food, meal preparations can now continue" Eat the bad review, but embarras her to the whole restaurant. Story 4: I am surprised they got to eat... the manager should have told them to leave.

It’s absolutely crazy how some parents think that they can do what ever the hell they want and then get upset if someone says something. My 2 yrs old granddaughter know better then to behave in such a behavior. When my daughter was about 3 yrs old and she wasn’t behaving making to much noice and not doing what they should when corrected. After my husband corrected her once the second time he picked her up paid for our dinner and went home. She’s never behaved like that again. Now she is teaching her children how to behave in public
