I love what Darkglass and have owned many of their products, but Reviewers/Demoers seem afraid to criticise them. I loved the tones you got out of this no doubt it’s impressive, can’t say it’s too far from the Alpha Omega Ultra though. For the price of this and the not ADAM, they should be a multi voiced drive not specific to one Darkglass pedal, perhaps downloadable/purchasable in the suite. Also the glaring omission of an effects loop seems to be missed in every review. Great video though

That's an awesome video, especially the Just Chance reference :) I said to myself that I don't need anymore gear but this looks tempting... One suggestion tho, could you include some tracks with big heavy guitars in future demos? One of the big advantages of DG preamps is the way it allows the bass to be audible within a wall of guitar distortion so I'd happily hear those in the reviews as well :)

What a great demo, thank you so much for playing more traditional basses and less metal-ly stuff! I feel like the AOP sounds less produced than the ADAM but more "rough & reel". I do love a produced sound, especially nowadays were you often play to a lot of backing tracks with VST instruments in them. But with the ADAM I always hear a boosted low end from the multiband compressor when trying to achieve clean tones (at least in the videos, I don't own any of the pedals). I can't decide if that boosted low end is a good thing or in the way of other instruments. I generally cut the super low lows. Not sure what route to go if I'd be interested in one of the pedals for pop/rock. Also, I don't understand why these pedals have gap switches between presets and why you would need external MIDI gear to get to presets 4-6 when just a secondary switch could alternate between A-D / B-E, etc. Anyway, cheers from Berlin - looking forward to your next videos!
