I agree with you on the hot location, especially with this one. The tunnel was very frustrating to play against and I didn't want to play Lockjaw. But my opponents had the most dumb luck and pulled Infinaut every single time. I just wanted that location to be gone for sure

That’s actually really interesting! I played Jane Foster 0-theme negative the whole time (since I just unlocked Jane Foster at the beginning of the event) and never really saw any non-thanos lockjaw decks. The thanos lists actually tended to mostly pull stones- I think I only saw a tunnel->infinaut once. I wonder if the thanos version is actually worse for tunnel than a thinner, infinaut list.

The problem is also that the feature locations are always ones that are beneficial to a very specific deck archetype. It's never something like Baxter Building, The Triskelion, Nova Roma or Xandar, that could work with tons of decks and that you are mostly indiferent to. It's always something like Bar Sinister, Kamar-Taj, Throne Room or Savage Land; which are very deck dependant or have a very specific tactic to exploit them. So it forces everyone to play the exact same deck almost, or at least the same deck archetype. I think the game would be better with no feature locations.

I think I might like it if the new location is 40% on the first day, as it has been, and then the second day lower it to maybe like… 20% or something. Still more common, but not enough to reliably take too much advantage of

Hot/featured locations are a cool idea but yeah sometimes it's too much. I remember during Lamentis, if you didn't own Thor you were at a significant disadvantage and without Death you might as well not play Snap for the duration.

I think this is an opinion a lot of people share, but I just am going to say it anyways. There NEEDS to be a casual mode and a ranked mode. Featured locations would be in the casual mode and there would not be featured locations in ranked. This would make the whole player base happier overall.

I think featured location are good for the meta, it vives variety in deck at least 2-3 days un the week, if you don't like it You justo play the other days, i did this and i still climb

I feel like it can't be too too hard to make it so that featured locations last 48 hours and you start by seeing them 60% of the time or even more than that, but the more you play the less likely you are to get it, going down to 10 or just 0% more likely. But I guess it's easy for me to say that, it obviously depends on how all that is coded.

I dont think the 48 hours period of feature location is bad, the problem lies in this game only having one ranked queue, it would be no problem if we had a casual queue where we can test less good and meta decks without losing cubes and of course, without the feature location.

I think the point is to not obsess over cube and ranks, I think ranked anxiety would just increase if there was a casual queue.

My only request is that they never add a casual queue in this game. For the love of all we hold dear. If the game is good then people will keep playing it. If people keep playing it then some significant portion of them will rotate decks and try new things to keep it fresh. If there is no casual queue then those people will bring that larger variety of decks to the queue. Like HS, once there is a casual queue all the testing goes there and ranked is the same rock paper scissors day in and day out.
