Darklight: Memento Mori - Review - Board on the Bayou

When you are getting your butt kicked in Darklight, remember the second part of the game's name - Memento mori (Latin for 'remember that you [have to] die' ). The designer has stated on the forums that he only expects 1% of parties to make it to 10th level. It's about the journey to see how far you can get before you gloriously die! I say, have fun and take as many with you as possible!!

2 years i was looking for this game, now i find Core game with all expansion and waiting for deliver. I know it is hard, i hope im ready for this

Thanks for the review. Apologies for the bad print, unfortunately a very small percentages of prints do come out with issues like that. We have tried contacting you several times, but we did not receive any replies (perhaps spam folders and whatnot). It probably did, as your latest was in the Spam folder. It probably got deleted before I was able to see it in there. Thanks for reaching out again. It shows that you do really care about your customers and their satisfaction. Hopefully, Darklight 2 is in the works! Or even a 1.5 upgrade would be awesome. Either way, keep up the good work.

Great review of a game that I have had on my want list for awhile. Would be great to see a 1.5 or 2.0 version. May pick up everything 1.0 once returns in stock.

Unfortunately I don’t think you will see stuff return in stock. The company didn’t make enough from this game due to underestimated costs of production so no plans for a reprint. Who knows though one day we might see a 2.0 but the creator has already voiced that he’s moved on to designing a new game. Fantastic game though so I’m looking forward to seeing the new project.
