Like 90% of the decks that relies too heavily on high-Level monsters. Darklords? Too much trouble for too little reward. Subterrors? Too slow and too hard to get their plays going. Dark Magicians? Relies far too much on Eternal Soul to do anything. Blue-Eyes? More bricks than your average Georgian house. Honestly, the only times when high-Level strategies work, Konami needs to push them _so hard_ that they basically become meta-dominant, like Monarchs, True Dracos or Qliphorts.

tezca sucks cause you don't care about your darklords being removed from the field cause they're all quick effects and the deck runs at least 4 reborns not counting the 3 suberbia. Tezca does nothin else other than protect, if he had a way to put himself on the field then yeah he'd be really good, that's why the deck runs 2~3 nasten and 0~1 tezca. It's the same deal with Amdusc, if Amdusc just discarded itself he'd be an instant 3 of in the deck.

Personally Darklords are my favourite archetype because every time I play a powerful deck I end up going back to them. Thought my variant is Darklords Heroes so Dark Law might be the reason, but Dark Law is not a win condition just a big (I mean enormous) help to the deck.

Well, one of the problems that dark lords had was that they didn't really do much once in the field. they wanted to be a control deck but didn't have enough material to do that control. this might actually be the tool that they laked for that. also itxell is sweet. I play Tethys in my Fairy MAX deck. It only uses a few Spells: 3xPre-prep, 2xDawn, 2xMallet, 2xAdvance Draw, 2xValhalla, and 3xTransmodify. Star Seraphs, Fairy Cheer Girl, Illuminknight, Timelords, add extra draw power, and Manju, Benten, Pre-Prep add search power, while Hecatrice+Timelords make GY control easier to spam Krystia, while Transmodify make Tethys from Manju/Sceptor, and Vallhalla summons Zaphion to tribute for Tethys/Advance Draw or Summon Sceptor to trigger its effect or Krystia/Tethys if necessary. Often pretty easy to draw entire deck in 1 turn and with Timelords/Herald of Perfection/Krystia/Ouroboros, it can also be problematic for my opponent. Of course I also play Timelords+Valhalla combo in my Darklord dek which makes Krystia/Fiend far easier and rewarding to summon. Angels and Fallen Angels.

Darklord grinder was my idea. You don't need to normal with dark lords and grinder is a strong af stand alone card in this meta in which you can dig through. Lets not forget Soul charge is a card Darklords loves immensely too. sadly the probelm with darklords is that you can only ss each once. the ones with quick effects that is. :( I want to work on this deck honestly since I love darklords but I'm focusing on something else.
