i still can not express just how amazing Enter the Gauntlet is, it's probably one of my favourite songs ever

Such a jamming vibey soundtrack that you can't get tired of even after tens of hours spent playing this map. It's absolutely beyond incredible to see a 20+ minute soundtrack for a standalone map, you are a legend!!

Honestly, these tracks are like 75% of what motivated me to power through this map to the end. A song has to be pretty incredible to not get stale after *literal* hours on repeat, but at no point in my 21hr playthrough was I tired of these bangers. Phenomenal work!!

this is seriously some of the best music i've heard in any game mod ever, maybe even all of gaming in general.

This mod makes me want to get better at Celeste just so I can play this map, it looks so fucking amazing in every one of its aspects. And the soundtrack is no exception, I could listen to these songs for hours - and actually have a couple times. They're genuinely on the same level of quality as the base game's soundtrack, if the Celeste team ever made a sequel or spinoff I could absolutely see you making one of the B-side remixes

This is like my favourite Celeste level ever. The song, the flow of the level it's just perfect. I'm not anywhere near good enough to beat it currently but it's the next level i'm going for after i have completed all D sides and Farewell Gold, the latter should be very soon. Loved Dark Moon Ruins from the very first 40 hours of playing Celeste.

Matt, this is a masterpiece, I've played a lot of games and Exploring What Remains + Enter the Gauntlet are two of the best gaming tracks I've ever heard. You're brilliant, man!

Parts of this remind me of Carpenter Brut. I'm amazed how much effort went into this, clearly it's a labour of love :)
@pansear52 жыл бұрын
the map was inspired by space ruins which used carpenter brut music (from the furi ost specifically) so theres probably a lot of influence from that

You have really outdone yourself on this one. This is seriously absolutely great, and all of your other Celeste mod OSTs are incredible. Thank you so much for providing the community with these !

enter the gauntlet gives off so much carpenter brut vibes, loved it!!

Fun fact: the map Darkmoon ruins is based on the very old Celeste map "space ruins" by tomonn, and in that map, the track to the final checkpoint is "you're mine" by carpenter brut.

I keep coming back to listen to this and it’s becoming a problem, but I swear darkmoon ruins slaps more on the 20th listen than the 1st. Absolutely unbelievable work, you’re amazing for making this!!!!

Reminds me of "A Picture in Motion" from Furi
@maddie_sexton_music Жыл бұрын
Good spot! The map that Darkmoon Ruins is based on, Lunar Ruins, uses A Picture in Motion as the music for its first few checkpoints, so I intentionally took inspiration from the track for the first two songs in this soundtrack. The music for the later checkpoints of DMR is more inspired by some of Carpenter Brut’s contributions to the Furi soundtrack :)
