Just recently got aquianted with the game, played it on a Discord stream with a friend, did both the base game and the DLC. Walked away after the ending(s) feeling like I just finished a one-in-a-lifetime journey. Been listening to the OSTs the past week and KZbin algorythm linked me your video. God, this is such a beautiful find. Such a marvelous remake of the OST, that doesn't just do it justice, but improves on it in many ways. I see many people in the comments think the same. This track is absolutely brilliant, every single part of it, personally i am a big fan of Mike Oldfield's long songs with many different parts and progression in it. And this song does it just as well, if not better at parts. It captures everything i love about the game in one single time loop. I always keep ramping up my volume at like 20 minutes of the song, just to feel the power of that last part.

Conceptually, it's hard not to liken the 2014 film to the space action adventure game (that began development not too far from the release of Interstellar) the use of space exploration, time travel and themes of annihilation and total catastrophe. But the two stories diverge in the ending message. And in that way I believe Outer Wilds has a maturity tha can't be captured by popular cinema. The film concludes at the hero's deathbed, light-years from Earth... But humanity survives. Through the actions of *a few great men* (and women) In Outer Wilds, you CANNOT prevent disaster. You can outlive the time loop, you can even preserve your consciousness inside the databases of The Stranger. But even this is not seen as "the end." The TRUE ending, signifies the end of the universe itself A complete relinquishment of the self in light of events far greater than jut the extinction of one species... Nay, the death of a family member. (My spiteful teenage self while watching Interstellar half anticipating, half hoping that all the astronauts and people on Earth would meet their end by the films conclusion)
