Theres an easy way to avoid the bombers. Somebody can explain it better but if you can understand what I'm trying to say, good for you. They have something like predictive aim (for lack of better words). Let say you walk in a straight line, they will lob their explosives let say 2 meters ahead of where you're gonna go (if you stand still, they will just lob onto your spot, it is only when you move). Best way to avoid the explosives is doing a small circle. Figure out how small the circle should be on your own because it depends on enemy action taken, size and all that stuff that you pick in the difficulty setting. Once you get the hang of it, you'll never get hit again by those pesky bombers.

Fire elementals requires either meteor shower or incineration. I’ve never seen it roll on trail of fire. I think it needs localized static pools. Part of the problem is that you took so many different fire upgrades that your pool was overcrowded. Hard to get the thing you want when there’s so many things fighting for your three slots. Banishes seem pretty necessary when you’re going for something like them.

I think I'm going to try a pure fire build with merris. That is one of the problems with Summer though, she buffs everything so you end up so diluted. Especially with Alteration ritual

You might have been smelling skunk spray. Up close it smells more like burning rubber but from a certain distance it's exactly like strong weed. Can travel remarkably far.

23:10 - I think you can not take curiosity. I mean, it will be like with gear. Your already use some of the dices and these dices will be calculated as spent when you will take normal Curiosity

The lack of speed and attack delay on summons really limits them against faster enemies, and the carpet-riding-bombers in particular.

Yeah, there's a fairly rare affix for boots that gives summons bonus movement speed that is probably the most important item in any summoner build. Still having seen it drop lol

One thing that helps me with Summoner Skadi is not picking up the 2nd wolf on your talent tree. Instead have your capstone be Wanderer? (The one the levels up a blessing every 3 levels) You don't really have any scaling on your talent tree for summons, So having some extra levels into your summons and supportive offerings is really helpful. More helpful than 2nd wolf friend.

What I hate about act 2s enemies so far is that the vast majority of enemies are just a complete pushover, including the bosses. But then you have the bees.... Why are they a trillion times more powerful in every single way than every other enemy? the djinn is an absolute joke in comparison to the 18min bees.

The worse thing is, not only is it over half of your talent points, it's all of your highest tier points as well. Not only the capstone talent point, but also all five points in both of the two prior tiers? For a couple of middling summons and no scaling? Yeah, the wolves need some significant love from the devs if they are going to be viable as anything except a further challenge for the player.

Also if you're gonna do a dash video. Can use use Krom, Time, and Summer? Pick up Kroms dash, and becoming a walking Beyblade?

I only play Skadi as summoner, and I've been able to clear up to darkness 80. You have to get ms for sums on your boots to kill the bomber easily. I have a chest piece with curse of weakness, but swapped it out for the unique chest piece that gives 200 armor I think and 27 toward expert offers...just feels better. I'd say God of War/ blood swords offers make the run much easier, but I do it with frost wolves and necromancer as well. All gear has summoner damage and parrots, so I start with 7 plus 2 wolves and genie from the black lamp relic. Runs are fun like shadow nixxi with lightning ball going for 14 secs...just requires the correct gear, and enough alts, rerolls, and banishes, so you don't need to rely on luck so it's always consistent.

Sounds like a lot of best in slot gear to get it working. Do you think the wolves are actually worth it or if you want the same build but with the adept talent that you would be better off?

I've not tried the talent, but it would make the summons u get pretty powerful at the cost of maybe one or two parrots. Legendaries have been a requirement for my runs as well, but I'll test it out and see what happens.

@@gamingwithjeff Tried it out a few times with multiple item changes this morning. Didn't go well, although I was able to easily clear D80 with 2 legendary dragons, mass parrots, black lamps, and wolves with my regular gear. The wolves are the first to attack, and seem necessary as you need to clear trash mobs asap to ff the bigger targets. The MS on summons are a must as well, so if u can get the additional 30 ms from the one shrine + summon ms on boots, it's almost a guaranteed successful run.

I like the new patch a lot and love the game, but I think I might be done until they fix my girl (boy?). Skadi was my favorite and is pretty hot trash now. As has been stated a bunch of times - someone does all of her niches, just better. No idea why Merris was turned into the summoner character, while Skadi was turned into...half summoner, half...something. When I play Skadi it always ends up being some other type of damage/blessing that leads the way, and the animals are just there, under performing their little hearts out.

I like the idea of there being at least two characters for each "build." The problem is that Skadi's entire summon line is a dumpster fire. Not to mention the survival talents +healing % and the lifesteal one, are so significantly worse than Kroms healing and Avorons block ability that in comparison it makes her feel terrible to play. Now that said, I do think the game is currently balanced around d30 in which Skadi can work just fine. I'm also a big believer in these devs for the future of the game. This patch functionally rebuilt it from the ground up and they balanced it with only a few people testing so I think they get a pass for now

Merris is dumb as a summoner build. Time, death, fire i had fire elementals and necromancy last 5 mins and casually doing 24-50k each hit
