I’ve been lost in The Smoky Mountains where I live and can tell you there are things in those woods that No One can explain. I witnessed something walking straight toward me kicking up leaves like a human but was absolutely invisible until it was about 5 ft. from me when a ball of blue light came from thin air and shot straight up to the sky. I was found the next day and told my experience. I had a emergency whistle that I blew a thousand times. Where my survival group I was with found me they said “we walked this area a few times you should’ve stayed still “ I said “I did, I didn’t move once I realized I was lost”. It was like I was invisible.? Some in the group talked about seeing what they thought was my headlamp but when they would get to it nothing was there. I still have nightmares about that one night when “something” happened that made me realize...All is not what it seems. True Story.

@@LTJC70 Iguanas can grow much larger than 4 feet. They can grow to 5 or 6+ feet. The front legs can appear to look like "arms" and the rear legs are just that, legs. Fortunately they prefer eating plant life as opposed to meat.

I'm so sorry. A study was recently released that found what animal lovers already know, the loss of a close animal companion is more devastating than losing a family member, partly because you don't have to edit yourself in any way with your pet, and they love you no matter what. It's much more painful for most people than anything else. Take care of yourself.

I´ve never had any creepy encounter in forests, though I did piss off an animal once. The only creepy thing, I´ve seen was a small part of the forest, where every tree was crippled and not by storm nor anything that I´d associate with human interference. Every stem was twisted in a corkscrew fashion. Not as pronounced as this weird good luck bamboo, but still clearly twisted.
