F 3+4 can only parry punches and can lead to a Combo. B 1/4 or b 2/3 parrys pretty much every high and mid but you get the same dmg as the opponent. Its best used to finish a round like he did in several rounds.

Thats because you are doing the wrong move. The one hes using in the video with the bluesparks is the just frame Version called Omen Thunder Godfist - otgf. There is no down in the input unlike the normal uppercut or the ewgf. The Input is f, df + 1. Df and 1 needs to be at the exact same frame. If done right you get the bluespark version which is much better on hit (launcher) and on block (only -10) then the regular version. Also much better recovery. There are tutorials on KZbin for it but its hard, like very hard. Good luck

In some situations in these clips it was a mixture of reads and reaction time. Like I'm expecting the opponent to press a button right about now so my fingers are ready to do an ewgf/otgf.

It's way too risky to do this kind of combos in a tournament setting. You want to take full advantage when you get to launch your opponent with combos that you are 100% sure that you are not going to drop because when you play against good players you're not going to launch them just like that.
