Darksaber comparison, Disney Legacy vs Black Series

You keep saying they don't sound like light sabers...... But that's how the dark saber sounds. Its supposed to be different its a "perversion" of a light saber. Its suposed to be off putting

Personally I think the Legacy Darksaber is better in terms of comfortability, sound and use. The only faults I find with the legacy Darksaber is that the black blade is too thin and painted on which personally is not as effective as using plastic. the display base could have been a bit better and the plug for the saber can be easily lost. The black series (B.S.) Dark saver is more of a Display piece and isn’t as comfortable to hold. The B.S. Darksaber is also more flimsy with the blade and not as secure. The blade is more accurate having a thicker black blade. The sound quality is quieter on the B.S. version, due to the fact that the speaker is placed at the side of the handle, causing the sound to be muffled by your hand when holding it. The B.S. version has a more screen accurate hilt in terms of colours, the hilt of the darksaber is supposed to be gun metal Grey and Black. In terms of cosplay and duels I would recommend using the Legacy version. Xx

I bought the black series at game stop, I love how heavy it is. The blacker blade looks better. My son who works for Disneyland bought the one there. He likes mine better. The price is about the same. He told me he doesn’t get a employee discount on those. But for me since I love the epic look and significance of that dark saber for the Mandlorians. I want both!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩and I love that case from Disney😍

@@zackerymoyano if you want a lightsaber that has perfect sound effects, perfect swing effects and great clash effects, I would think Neopixel would be the go-to. It may be expensive but I bet it’d be worth it

To me the legacy darksaber in sound comparison is more accurate to the clone wars pre vizsla darksaber while the force fx darksaber is more sound accurate to the mandalorian season 2 darksaber

The blueish light is like perfect for it. The warm white on the legacy is legit crap. In terms of accuracy and contrast the blueish light was the way to go

The Legacy stand is cheesy for the price. I like the BS stand version better. You are correct on the blade...IF you were to merge the two...I think that would be the best.

Use some matte black 3M vinyl and add a thicker black center to the blade on the Legacy BlackSaber

I think I like the Black Series one better myself. The one knock I would have is what Jonathan pointed out about the wobbly blade. Very cool video though. Unboxing videos are always cool.

The problem with the black series one for me is the speaker position. If you cover it with your hand it sounds dreadful

it wobbles because you put it wrong, you slide down the black piece first on the blade as much as you can then insert the blade because it doesnt secure well if you put blade first then black piece

See, people keep saying this, but it literally makes no difference if you put the cover over the blade first or not. It has a retention screw that only goes in if everything is aligned, so the order of construction literally does not matter. I've tried both ways just to humor the idea and it's still flimsy. You know why? Because it's just the way the blade is constructed. That's it. It's not about how it sits in the hilt. It's flimsy layers plastic with heavy internals, so it's just not rigid.

I like the black series more when it comes down to display which is all I care about I’m not about to go swinging it at everything, I think the black series is a better display piece to have so I don’t really mind how uncomfortable and “unusable” it is

I think you may have gotten a faulty black series the blade on mine is pretty sturdy and doesn't really wobble.

They should have put some kind of metal runner in the blade for the Black Series so it doesn’t wobble the way it does. Would have been easy to do.

As someone with bigger hands, the black series was perfect for me. The weight and everything was perfect. Blade could use some strengthening, pretty sure someone will sell some sort of 3rd party blade for it. My only 2 problems is the whole disassembly plus it need a d ring. Its alot more accurate colour is spot on. Legacy's only 2 pros is the stronger blade, cos its thicker which it shouldn't be and the box. The stupid wheel in silver ruins it, should have just put a d ring a wider black line, graphite and black handle and it would have been the winner.

I think the blade looks much better on the Black Series, but the hilt is better on the Legacy - the Hasbro one is too thick/bulky IMO and I prefer the darker coloration on the GE hilt as well. Seeing as if I got one it'd end up being primarily displayed as a hilt, I think I'd go for the Legacy one between the two personally. Legacy hilt + Hasbro blade would be best of both...

The black series looks more like when maul had it, the strioes were grey like that, in the last 4 episodes of the clone wars. I like the blade holder that u dont like, that keeps the blade from flying off

I'm not a fan of the activation animation on the Disney legacy. It activates and deactivates in clunky steps and doesn't look like a smooth extraction and retraction like the black series.

The Legacy Dark Saber all the way! The Black Series is too bulky, I hate the blade... I hate that you can see the LEDS in it... it's the wrong colors, and no belt clip.
