​​@@kumiq17 Darkseid is simply more powerful than Diana. This story arc shows that his power stems from darkness (not all of them are written the same/have different back stories). In his less evolved state, he was still stronger than Diana, but after he absorbed Zeus's life force, there was no contest in terms of strength. She couldn't damage him at all. Any good hits she did get in would only annoy or stun Darkseid temporarily, but she couldn't defeat/kill him using brute force. Hence the end of the story where she used love to connect with her godly family members, drawing them out of Darkseid, weakening him, and ultimately vanquishing him once he lost control of the life forces of the old gods he previously absorbed. Characters like Wonder Woman, Superman, etc. can be made stronger/weaker depending on what the writers want them to face in terms of their adversaries.

I like that they had a villain fight a villain. You will never tell me Zeus isn't one. It matters not that he doesn't do what Darkseid does. He is still a villain! But that he lost to a very much weakened Darkseid doesn't seem right. Though, this may be about outsmarting him. Still, Darkseid shouldn't be able to syphon energy from a being who can syphon energy.
