Darksiders: Genesis - New Gameplay Thoughts & Info | E3 2019

With a full gameplay demo being released, what are your thoughts on everything so far?

1. its called chaos form not demon form 2. i saw offscreen footage in which a switch player activated his form

@@matges90 Ahh thank you! Couldn't remember the exact name, slipped my mind. And regarding his Chaos Form, I ended up finding it! Saw a GIF of it on the Darksiders Discord.

1) This game is being made by Airship Syndicate, not by Gunfire Games. 2) The reason Strife's gameplay appears to be slow is due to the person controlling him not using him correctly. Strife's main weapons are his pistol, so his combat was built around using them. He was not built for melee, eventhough he does have that option. 3) Chaos Form is the name given to War's "Ultimate"form, but it is not the name of the general ability. Strife's "Ultimate" form has yet to be named.

Probably the player is just trying to learn the controls overall. 3) Ahhh, ty for the clarification! I'll just call "Ultimate" for now haha

I got to play it at E3 and holy shit it was fun! Also War plays exactly the same as Darksiders 1.

That's awesome! Glad you had the chance! Any downsides to the game? Thoughts on Strife's gameplay since it is his debut?

Honestly I don't think there are any Downsides, except maybe the whole Top-Down thing, which I had no problems with. It played exactly like a Darksiders game, Strife was really fun, But I didn't get to play him much. What I did play of him though, he kinda seems broken lol.

This style of play is not my thing, but i will buy it because i love Darksiders and wants to support them.

Those were my initial thoughts but after watching some E3 Vods, it definitely made me more interested in the game. Probably some minor adjustments to the gameplay such as faster combat and I think it'll be successful!

It is exactly the same as Darksiders 1 and 2. Just Co-op and Top down view.
