If I were to pick between Mordekaiser and Pyke, it would be absolutely clear Pyke is the winner. His voice lines were more interactive and fun to listen to. Morderkaiser is a beast and cruel and I'm sure some fked up shit happened to him but I just dont really like the champ.

The thing about Mordekaiser. He was the emperor of a huge empire and fought wars upon wars for his God, expecting to be received into his equivalent of Valhalla when he died. Instead he got a realm of blackened ichor where souls waste away until oblivion. This set him against the gods and he refused to die. Instead he carved out a kingdom in the realm of the dead, enslaving wandering souls, essentially saving them from fading into oblivion. In the course of this he learned to control death. Eventually he managed to make contact with a cult in the living world and tricked them into summoning him and binding him into a suit of iron. He then killed them and set about creating a second empire, and creating his keep, the Immortal Bastion. Eventually several nations and one of his underlings managed to 'kill' him. He returned to his kingdom of death to set up and prepare certain things before he went back to the living world. In his own way he is saving people from oblivion and the lies of their gods. He's certainly not a "good guy", but I enjoy his character. Like Swain said, "the villains of today will be the heroes of tomorrow." Mordekaiser is not from the Shadow Isles and if Thresh is a boy with a BB gun, Mordekaiser is the whole darn tank. Sorry for the wall of text, love the reactions.

Mordekaiser was an warlord who created Noxus and builded the Immortal bastion. He lived like a wiking, conqure countrys and kill alot to drink wine with the gods after death. But after he died...he found nothing. No Gods, no hall with wine just nothingness. His lifestyle was wrong and he refused to fade like other souls. So he learned the language of the death and even managed to communicate with the living and guess what? The people revived his spirit and was again in the world. The Black Rose killed him in the end but he began to build his new domain in the death realm, so one day he arrise again with a strong army and conqure everything. So if Mordekaiser arrise again, the world is screwed. His Lore is deep and really interesting, one of the best Storys in the game! And yes, I love Morde And yes, Pyke is a Assasin Support who shares Gold with the Team mates. Pyke lore he was once a great monster hunter in his crew he was like the MVP of his team for killing multiple sea monster till one night everything goes wrong a kraken attack their ship and they can't do anything and they betray him he died but rumors says he got revive by the power of shadow Ilse (Shadow Ilse is near on bilge water) and he starts to kill those who are on his list (Those who are wicked,betrayer, plunderer and including those who killed him that day.) Till he just became a story in bilge water they used his name to scare children till the event of ruined king they saw him killing one on his list. Once he was sent on a mission with an unfamiliar crew. They needed to kill the skulltooth. The skulltooth was highly valued by magicians because of the substance that was released from its mouth.When they found one of the clawtooths, they captured it with harpoons and Pike set to work, but unexpectedly a whole flock sailed to the aid of the clawtooth, which quickly pushed the ship back. The crew decided not to risk the rope that connected Pike and the ship. immediately cut off. But Pike did not die, the substance from the glands that he tried to cut off kept him alive and Pike quickly found the purpose of this life.He began to kill mercilessly those who were somehow connected with this crew that abandoned him.

In life, Sahn Uzal followed a viking like religion where to gain entry to "The Hall of Bones" after death and feast with the gods for eternity, one must win honor and glory through conquest in life. So he lead a vast army and swept across the lands for decades until old age finally laid the warlord low. When he passed, there was no hall of bones, there was no glorious afterlife, just an endless bleak expanse of sand, grey mist and countless mindless, murmuring spirits. Sahn Uzal wandered for a long time, learned the language of the dead, Ochnun, and eventually came to the realization that this was all there was in the world beyond death. But he refused to fade into another mindless spirit in the mist, instead sending his voice out through the land of the dead for any who could hear him. Eventually someone did. A group of mages who lived in what had been his empire. Pyke got a cool lore. In life, his job was literally to jump into the mouth of living sea beasts to collrct materials that you couldn't harvest from dead ones. But during a job that went wrong his crew ended up cutting his rope and ditching him in the sea where he died. Except something, no one yet knows what, brought him back to life and gave him a list with the names of everyone who abandoned him, and so Pyke went on a mission of revenge. Except Pyke noticed that in fact he barely recognized the people he killed, and no mattwr how much he killed new names kept appearing on the list, making it clesr to him that whatever brought him back was in fact using him for its own goals. As of right now in the lore he is midly free from the creatures controll thanks to Illaoi

Mordekaiser, twice dead thrice reborn. He lived as a human eventually died of age I believe. Reborn later, he was betrayed by Leblanc however he was expecting it and let it happen so that he could conquer the land of the dead. He’s not from the shadow isles but just from the land of dead. Previously in life, he was a warlord who took over the entirety of runterra in belief of a destiny that he’d be granted a chair in the hall of bones and was later betrayed by Leblanc I believe. Destiny, domination, deceit. In death, enraged by him not getting a place in the hall of bones and the realization that there are no gods, he decided to become a god himself. Unlike kindred who are gods of death, mordekaiser is the god of the dead. In the land of the dead, he saw many souls wander by, lost and eventually fade away however Mordekaiser, in his anger refused to fade. I refuse to fade. Mordekaiser was brought back by a group of mages in hope that they’d enslave him by using his old name, Zahn-Uzal. They bound his soul to a body of dark iron however he had changed his name in the dead and as such was unaffected by the use of his old name. He killed the mages who had planned to use him for their bidding and crafted Nightfall (the gigantic mace he wields) by using their souls. He decided that though brute strength and combat prowess is great, sorcery was even greater and as such he decided to imbue it with himself with it and learn all the sorcery that exists to become stronger. Mordekaiser existed before the time of Noxus (however from his legacy Noxus came to be I believe) and built the immortal bastion which now, I believe, is the HQ of the Noxian people. The reason he dislikes Katerina I think is due to her fighting style. She’s an assassin with funny footwork and doesn’t fight directly and as for his voice line for Darius, well like great great great great great great great grandfather like great great great great great great great grandson. Explanation about morde’s interaction with swain: First of all, mordekaiser isnt from shadow illes, his empire was on the same place is noxus nowadays, indeed he was the creator of the inmortal bastion. Second, as you know, Swain ‘s demon (raum) was sealed in the inmortal bastion, thats because mordekaiser is the other only person who knows raum’s weakness so even if he couldnt dominate him , he used his powers to increase his strength and aknowledge (similar about what he did to veigar btw). Another curious facts, leblanc was her assistant, she, vladimir and the noxii tribes managed to send mordekaiser to the infraworld, nowadays his armor and the portal to the infraworld are in the center of the inmortal bastion (and yes, both leblanc and swain are preparing noxus to face mordekaiser as the first main enemy of runeterra noxus has to confront :p So… basically when he says that to swain, he means that even if he would become more powerful it would be useless since he also knows the weakness of his powers source (Raum). Btw, ironically, if raum manages to guess his name, swain could send mordekaiser to the infraworldforever (his current name is mordekaiser but no one in lore knows it… the most of characters knows him as “the metal reborn” or “sahn-uzal” his original human name” but no one knows his new name “mordekaiser” in oknumm that is what links his spirit with his magic armor”)

Mordekaiser is my main in league, his lore is amazing. He was a standard person, an above average warrior, after forging an empire of his own he died on a Mountain of corpses. When he died he went to the deathrealm, where all the dead go. He was able to hear beyond the death realm and basically said "I see no gods up here but me" so he just started harnessing souls, eventually he got in contact with necromancers and tricked them to bring him bound to his armour. He killed them, forged his hammer nightfall, then started just doing whatever he wanted. Physically no one can really stop him. He went to the shadow isles(way too complicated to get into here but yeah) hes basically just gathering souls to create an armour. His quote with veigar is there because he kidnapped the yordle (basically a rat race) due to their connection with magic. After torturing veiger he gave him extreme power in Exchange for secrets. After a bunch of other things he purposely got sealed away and now hes preparing a horde to eradicate everyone. If him an aatrox did fight. I doubt aatrox could do anything, very few league characters actually could. Also yes morde is pure evil, he sees everyone and everything as below him and it just so happens he has the strength to prove that

After or Before the Rune wars mordekaiser was a warlord who conquered all countries and kill all those who want to stop him until there's who brave enough to kill him but little they didn't know His loyal follower put his skull into the shadow Ilse so whenever he die on battle he will be revive again and again and again till one of his enemy knows that his skull was in shadow Ilse so they came to the shadow Ilse to kill him. Then after few 2 or 3 hundred years before noxus got built to be a great empire there's a group call Black rose led by Le Blanc,Swain,Vladimir and etc then they used him for their own goals then on his journey he met a yordle name Veigar who was not that evil that time and he used him to get the powerful object that was in bandle city that's why on his line he says I know your secret little ones even you can't escape after he used Veigar he betrayed him then he gave the power into the black rose but they betray and kill him too but due to his will power he got revive to take revenge and built his empire once again. (Nightfall hungers: he name his mace nightfall and everytime he kill his power goes stronger).

heres something interesting pyke was the first support assassin. now support is one of the most flexible roles which some champions who dont belong to the role find their way there. he was originally intended for support but pyke ended up finding his way to midlaner.. and then was brutally nerfed.. so now hes mainly support as he was intended but now hes coming back as a midlaner for some reason

Pyke is/was(his abilities got a slight rework) capable of going solo on mid and under good circumstances win and dominate as he had extremely good capability of getting around fast. combine that with midlane being relatively close to the two side lanes and you can practically leave lane and return in a minute after helping your less capable teamates. It was actually kinda ridiculous.

TL;DR version. As stated before he pretty much founded noxus, and created the immortal bastion. Who is Mordekaiser? Basicly: A warlord who believed in Runeteras Valhala, he killed thousands believing that in his death he will sit with the gods and feast. Once he died on top of a mountain of corpses, all he found in death was a vast empty desert with wandering souls who dissapeared in time. Angered of there no being gods, Morderkaiser refused to fade like all other souls and slowly learned the knoweldeged of the dead. Then he tricked some mages to bind his soul into a armor, allowing him to go back in runeterra, Then he created noxus and the immortal bastion and almost conjured the whole contined by his own. Killing thousands of people in the process. Then he was betrayed by his inner circle and temporarly banished him back into the realm of the dead. Though his death was his plan all along. Now returned in the realm of the dead, but this time all the souls of the people he killed awaited there, with his magic. The weak souls, were made into building blocks for his eternal kingdom and the strong became his eternal army. Mordekaiser now prepares for his return to claim the world, as the true god of dead.

He literally governs over the Afterlife and bound himself to a suit of Iron. Nightfall is the name of his mace. "Twice Slain." Mordekaiser has tried to conqueror the living world 2 times, I believe once in life and another as his form now. Leblanc stopped his 2nd conquest by betraying him, hence his reaction towards her. The souls of those who kills who he deems unworthy, he literally grinds into mortar to craft his domain, which you can see when he Ults you. Mordekaiser is much stronger, in lore, than even Kindred who is literally the Reaper because he made himself the God of Death and lives up to his name of Murder Emperor.
