Seeing that many collectors had a lot to say about Marvel Legends' take on the new PS5 Peter Parker Spider-Man released earlier this year, I couldn't pass up the chance to do yet another comparison. Thanks to the Armadillo BAF reissue, this time we're looking at the Mile Morales Gamerverse figures, and seeing if Hasbro strikes again with their recent controversial practices.

I think the people were trying to say that Miles got his own dedicated sculpt while Peter just reuses some ongoing naked bucks that had been used several times before in the comic book line. It's kinda sad that you can't have a Miles and a Peter from the game with matching aesthetics

Lol dude the arms are new. A better criticism would be that the red is not accurate on the new figure, and the texture on the black parts should be different but at a glance there’s a difference for sure.

There are still some good details on the new figure. Maybe it has web shooters and the older figure doesn't have them at all, or that the shoulders and butterfly joints have webs printed on them, while the old ones don't

Me personally, I like 2023 miles better. I like the added red lining goin down the sleeves/hands and the red on the soles. It’s the same figure but it doesn’t look as basic as the first one. Granted, they could’ve added the miles headsculpt but luckily I have the 2020 miles. So with the miles head on, it looks even better. And I like how now they started making the eyes on the Spiders shiny and reflective almost. If you look at the eyes on 2023 miles’ , the eyes are pearlescent. Vs 2020 miles which are plain white. Oh yeah! And I do like the added web shooters since he’s not like tobey with organic webs. It doesn’t even throw the figure off. And people have a Problem with the unmasked miles head but it’s close enough. It’s not like miles is light skinned in the game, he’s about the same color as the figure. Now the eye color doesn’t make sense at all.

Seen the figures and noticed the visible differences in physique for Miles and Peter. Playing the game this entire time I thought I was insane that Miles didn't look as ripped as Peter. Could be many things. Miles is still young, Peter has been Spider-Man forever now and his body SHOULD be ripped, or it could just be a stylized thing. I also noticed that I feel like there should be something on Miles's legs. The all-black looks odd to me. Maybe because it makes his upper body look disproportionate?

Bro to say they are exactly the same is so inaccurate. Exactly means just that, no difference. There is a difference here aside from the paint deco. The arms are completely new which means they are not exactly the same. It’s mostly the same, but not exactly. And when I say the arms are different, I don’t mean just the addition of the red stripe, like the molding itself is different and that’s a a huge thing for Hasbro to do. In fact if further begs the question as to why they did Peter so wrong for both Part 1 and Part 2. Like they first give Miles a new and unique sculpt for the first game and then for the second they even go and do a new molding for the arms when they could’ve cheapened out and just painted a red stripe on the second one.

27:51 bro 😂😂😂😂 David bro, I actually got both via BBTS but that was because the OG one came when I wasn’t home and after 3-4 months I saw it had QC issue with the shoulder blade joint not Painted yes so had to look forward for the next release … Now after I got the new one I saw the Red tone was warmer which was not meh and the left arm is having a bit of problem in movement but at least it was great so I am keeping the new one with the old ones yellow hands and headsculpt and as for the cat I have decided to keep the mask down and cat touching it as if it is fidgeting or playing with it

I got the first version of Miles for a slightly cheaper price at Walmart a month before NWH came out so months later when the rest of the wave was discounted, I completed Armadillo (one of my cousins gave me a leg that came with one if the Hollands). But overall 2023 Spidey should have been as good as this new Miles in terms of sculptwork.

Even though this is merely a re-release with a few new things, I actually love that. I couldn't get my hands on the first release of the Gamerverse miles figure, & I wasn't willing to pay exaggerated secondary market prices for it. So seeing Hasbro release this for cheaper than that lame excuse of a Peter figure, just hyped me up even more. Now granted, I would've loved to see some articulation improvements this time around. As well as having web gripping hands & web accessories. Those would've been better than that cat. But even with all that said, I don't regret having this figure.
