@@chuckheahfort1399 Right? This one and the NGAD one? I could totally see myself getting into this, modifying the models to test some ideas... It makes it seem very accessible! 😃

The fact that the model flies so well, lends some credibility to the vehicle seen in the movie being a little closer to reality. Not just a movie prop or counter-intel spoof.

This version looks even slicker, and it appears that the increase in control surfaces is giving it greater maneuverability.

Your videos are so satisfying. Maybe because I have probably over 3000 hours of remote control flying time over 45 - 50 years. Problem is: The time came in 30 second chunks. 💥

used to make functional paper airplane models out of kits back in Ukraine growing up.. one day ran across an article about one of the early F fighters with top down view and side view.. happened to be typical model size, so I just copied the outlines to cardboard.. got the center of gravity right.. thing flew amazingly well. Since nobody's calling about this.. makes you think what the hell else they're working on at skunk's lair.

To have a good flying RC model: 1) CG in the right place I.e. stable 2) Plenty of Control Power I.e. big control surfaces 3) Plenty of thrust to weight. Either low weight or high thrust or a combination. You have that here. Congratulations

I really enjoy your positive, upbeat attitude! I have several rc planes, but no batteries or receivers yet. (Mainly, at 71 years old, I'm afraid of crashing/ruining them...). I will use SMC batteries, as the test results show them to be top notch, and more honest about their battery specs. I am SO glad you finally made a right turn; as fast as this Darkstar was clipping along, and the fact that here in the Northern Hemisphere, vortex phenomenons rotate counterclockwise, I was concerned you were going to generate a tornado; thank goodness you negated the vortex effect with the right turn! ;-)

I’m 54 and broke. The local library has 3D printers to use and if you use the 5” drone motors instead of the expensive ducted fans you actually get higher speed for $10 a motor.

You may not be interested at all but, I saw a video of a pterosaur recently uncovered and as pterosaurs go, this one is `rc plane size`. Maybe the size of an average sailplane. So, with a little measuring this ancient flier could be made to fly again all be it as an rc. Not only would it be just cool, palentologist would probably showcase this model and feature it in a few `first flight in millions of years` videos. Just a thought.

A really fast flyer! If you could place two batteries in the fuselage and hooked up in parallel, would it fly twice as long? If the turbines would take it and hooked with series batteries and series turbines would it fly longer and a way lot faster.? Series turbines and batteries mean that the turbines run at the regular voltage. Could you check if the controller can run twice the voltage? If you get an electronics designer (or yourself) to make secondary controller that can run at twice volts and battery controller that would use transistors to run the higher voltage to the turbines. I really want to get you to fly the wings off that plane!

One thing that would be interesting is if you could provide info on how fast it is flying in mph in scale. Do you ever have models with landing gear, those would be very interesting to see taking off and landing on their own power? From what I have seen of your videos even your "not so good preformers" are excellent.

@tomfull66378 сағат бұрын
A wish: It would be interesting to experience how your model planes behave and sound whilst passing you. You have a tendency to always hit the accelerator when they pass you. Like each time… 😔 An attempt at an engine “roar” doesn’t impress really. However a versatile demonstration would. To me especially the “silent mode”, how low profile one can be in the neighbourhood, would be nice to know. Thank you. Kind regards Anders Sweden

How were the panel lines done? They appear to be cut into the model and not painted on. Are they printed like that or did you cut them carefully with a hot knife or other tools? Whatever the case may be, they look really well done and make the model pop.
