The hardest part of havoc for me, and others is that we ain't got nobody to do it with. And in-game party finder is an absolute toss up.

Finding a random 35 plus is going to be difficult because 1. Those running that high want to complete it so will be coming in typically with a pre-made. 2. Want the most optimal way to complete it so will be copying this guide to a T so as not to waste time. 3. The mode has so little replay that those who could have completed it will no longer be doing the content after a couple weeks of completing it.

I like having a ton of stamina, play charge Zealot mostly, love to run relic blade or Agile dueling sword. I play extremely aggressive melee builds for the most part. The current auto/las damage increases do annoy me pretty heavily as I was running all stamina curios before just great before update. I still want to play that way but a single autogun grunt being able to destroy toughness the moment you miss one is... frustrating. I'm happy to play with people of any type, so long as they don't sit there doing nothing. I am fine babysitting, I'm fine speed running. I play at high levels though still not at true solo status. I fully understand people who want to just go pure meta optimal build. I get annoyed when a friend says I should just 'have fun' when the meta discussion & build design is a big part of my fun.

I've gotten to clearance level 27 playing with randoms but my clearance rank is still 1 because i haven't hosted any myself, i just wanted level 25 which i got and now just need to help others complete 50 missions for the armour, couldn't care less about the titles, portraits and charms. Probably won't touch the new missions after that.

It's all contextual. In non-Havoc, enemies deal so little damage and die so easily that it's inefficient to run defense ults. That all changes in Havoc, where regular shooters can 100-0 you in a second, and stuff like Venting Shriek no longer kills an entire horde.

@@TannerLindberg To a new viewer, they dont have enough information to assume youre nearly always talking about the highest difficulties (not in this vid, youre clearly talking about havoc 40). Nodes that scale with special death procs are a good example of this.

Cleared 32 today with randoms. My vet build is identical to yours except I’ve tried using the bolter. There seems to be some kind of interaction going on the pen where it bypasses the gunner pox armor and you can 2 shot their heads. BUT I fear the ammo famine is going to make me roll plasma again soon. Anyway- literally found your content last week and it’s been amazing. Keep it up and grate on the world first!!

I really think they should tone down the "less ammo modifier". Its makes so +80% of the weapons cant keep the ammo economy game. Its also very weird to have 1 Vet taking almost litteraly the entire ammo and everybody else cant take much because its more optimal on him. Dont get me wrong tho, its really fun since overall the ammo economy used to be extremely forgiving and easy, I just think the numbers are a bit too crazy

Brittleness does wonders. That's why I love Scab only Mostly melee modifier, if you have 2 Psykers, one with Blaze Trauma and one with Brittle Trauma, both with Venting Shreak, you are an unstoppable combo. When I ay solo with Randoms, I also take Brittle Trauma unless someone is already taking it, then I take Blaze Trauma.

@@Kati_Goryi’ve found that the ogryn’s weapon bashes can be the center point for some high survivability, low damage setups. You get all of your armor back from heavy attacks but the relatively quick gun bashes count as heavy attacks, allowing you to just build buffs and regen armor, couple it with some of the sillier weapon perks (like the perk that ignores hit mass and causes extra stagger on melee for the big shotgun) and you could become nearly invincible as long as there’s enemies in melee range, and the bash itself can stagger, ragers, maulers and crushers out of their big swings too. So what winds up happening is that you get completely surrounded by the hive city’s population and you just slowly stunlock the entirety of em with your club that occasionally fires shotgun shells, completely unharmed while doing so as each swing will near instantly refill your toughness. Ogryn’s melee talents are built around bleed and stagger which just further enhances the efficacy of this stupid strategy.

Literally my whole build was around keep stamina up, keeping my shield up, and making enemies agro. Nearly unstoppable, only thing that can really fuck me up is if a trapper or flamer comes and messes up the vibes. I can take direct hits from snipers and barely lose any stamina. Pack of crushers? Complete joke

Shout plasma vet, book zealot, and double bubble trauma/purge staff psykers is also very strong. Psykinetic's Aura keeps bubbles up constantly. Trauma staggers everything while adding 40 percent brittle. Purge staff kills everything that has been staggered. Vet focuses ranged enemies. Zealot books and does zealot things. Two staff psykers also leaves so much ammo for the vet. Between constant shields, trauma, purge, and the occasional book, you can literally fight your way out of anything.

Our psyker had a brittleness trauma staff in havoc 40 and we combined it with a everlasting flame flamer. There is certainly a meta in havoc 40 but there a nuances how you approach it. Ps. I hope we can get up to havoc 50

That set up is kind of just worse tbh. Think about it the dots are dealing most of the dmg. And since crushers get stagger locked by purge. It provides arguably better cc MUCH better dmg. And consumes zero ammo to do it. The meta is pretty simple. It's stack bleed soul forever and normal fire and aoe team brittlness

I’m not the best player in the world, but I hosted a game last night and our psyker spent the match using smite until we died towards the end of the map. It was cool of him to put all of the enemies except the gunners on pause for a few seconds so they could finish us off if the gunners didn’t.

About the psyker. What about using Empowered Psionics to buff brain bursts? Of course it will remove CD reduction from the warp siphon. However you spend less time charging BB (time you don't use purgatus) and more procs of psykinetic's aura. So summarizing, from my perspective it's: 1)Faster gunner removal 2)More time to use purgatus 3)More ultimates for remaining 3 members However, you lose a fat CD reduction for bubble Tbh, I'm not sure which one is more practical

Why is nobody talking about voidstrike staff? The heavy attack penetrates through everything and is not limited by range. It staggers almost everything in its path, for crushers and bulwarks you need to hit the head, mutants doesn't get affected by it. But besides that I find the staff more versatile for every range. Purge staff is still way better in close range and especially in havoc where enemy tankiness becomes a real issue. Trauma staff just is a really bad in comparison.

Thammer - Buffed Every chain weapon - buffed Bolter and bolt pistol - buffed Dueling swords were buffed from their launch state to the mad state they're in now. Catachan swords - buffed i could go on for a while. Fatshark buffs a lot of stuff, most things are viable.

Wouldn't it be nice for a game to be balanced without having to rely on power creep? Sure let's just buff buff buff until everything can one-shot the strongest enemies, then FS will have to buff enemies again, and the cycle continues. Most options are good, some options are just simply wayyy too out there. People nowadays are so quick to call the most broken, over-picked stuff as baseline without considering all the facts. I haven't considered Havoc 40 yet, cuz it's new.

Me and my buddy and 2 randos got Havoc 40 on the second day the mode came out, we could have easily got it 1st day but I had to work. It was incredibly simple with 2 zealots running book, me running a CC, DOT, and AOE Smite Psyker with shield and flame staff and a Shout Vet, it really just depends on your teammates and their general game knowledge as even with really busted builds you can easily get overwhelmed, we sadly weren't able to get True Survivor YET only because the game kept crashing every. single. mission. for some of us after 35 and for some reason the bots count towards penances so every time they went down it negated the penance otherwise we would have got it every game

I don't know if u are aware but toughness reduction and hp reduction are different. You lose more toughness than hp. I tried 78% hp 15% toughness on vet and it put me at 222hp 112 toughness in havoc 40. Then I switched to 49% toughness 0%hp with this build and I had 98hp 148 toughness. I don't think that's a good trade off

Do you see these 1:09 type of fellas often? I haven’t encountered anyone like this as of yet but that’s maybe due to me playing around malice to heresy mostly, is it some kind of high difficulty lobby thing or is this just cause I’m lucky?

Most I play with are silent and just say gg at the end or nice dudes who laugh at themselves getting thrown around by mutants

Lots of elitists, especially on auric. They usually don't say anything until you fumble and get downed or even die.

@RNumz It isn't super bad since you'll usually lose with them. When the quiet type tryhards cone in, though, it feels like they are the 2nd coming of Christ. It is amazing to watch them and you know you can just focus on doing your job. Two sides. Always two sides.

Do you think there is grounds to consider anti shooter tech like deflector or the always sprinting zealot talent ? Or are they not worth the slot when bubble/gold toughness is plenty? Deflector would mean no dueling sword so that might DOA it but was curious what you thought.

i wonder what kind of build you'd create in havoc for ogryn since im an ogryn main and i make it my duty to rep the big boy but man the damage vs sustain in havoc is beating me down. I run Charge with the taunt passive to pull aggro from shooters so they close the distance and rush with CDR when shotgunners or gunners are in a train with my team if their within 15m and run the Slab shield and ripper gun with can opener

i mean even as a "toxic elitist" you have the power to check each persons build before you load in anyways so you can remove the people wasting your time. i think its less about elitism and more about not wanting to waste 15-20 min on a failed run because people have jobs and cant play for hours on end.
