Regarding the map design/selection section, this reminds me of why learning from history is important: In the early days of PayDay 2, the game had a similar mission select system and even an in-game achievement-reward system that likely inspired Okri challenges in VerminTide 2. They would learn early on that being able to play a specific map at a desired difficulty and being entirely up to RNG was very frustrating, even more so when the achievements and their rewards were involved so they would change it early on. I wish Darktide wouldn't have made the same error, but I hope they fix this design choice. They could still have random missions but have them with bonus rewards if people played them instead of selecting a mission.

Hell yeah absolutely, and hey cheers man! I appreciate the comment. But yeah, It makes complete sense both narratively and.. well gameplay 😤 Seeing everything literally falling apart, amping up the motivation to fight. I mean, in stories everyone loves a struggle or a David vs Goliath setting, it's what Vermintide NAILED and for sure I know Fatshark could do it here easily.

I learned more about the lore of the game from this video in four minutes than I did in the entire 100 hours or so I've played of Darktide. edit: I also just learned there's supposed to be a sound indicator when you're struck from behind. With the constant, nonstop noise of guns firing, getting hit in toughness and toughness breaking every couple of seconds, I've never even noticed it.

The gene stealers would be cool to see, there's many types of cultist based on wich generation they are and we could also have a boss fight with a first gen or even a patriarch In terms of chaos cults korn would be cool, slanesh i'm not very sure

A lot of the issues you have mentioned have been fixed with the last few patches. Feels like a full game now and i absolutely love it. My favorite game currently

its a fun game and ive maxed every character and with all orange gear. but the cosmetic system is the reason I wont recommend the game. you either get 3-4 reskin outfits per character or pay stupid amounts of money on their ""currency"" to get a outfit that had the real effort into it. I guess its not as bad as vermintide 2 was with its microtransactions... for now atleast

Just a thought maybe fat shark and other games should stop releasing half finished stuff and just simply explain very calmly in a blog post that we are running behind on certain expectation and it will be delayed for 6 months if you don't want to have finished game that counts the ass to be patched
