what makes this hilarious is that the most talented guy in a scene with an entire orchestra is the guy who looks like a character from bill and ted :-) he just looks so ... yngwie. I love it. all respect to the GOAT
@geoffrobson2493 Жыл бұрын
To be fair, the orchestra is providing a canvas for him to shred on... none of the players in the orchestra are playing even anywhere near their potential... honestly found this a bit boring and an insult to the orchestra, lol
@straitupstaticx Жыл бұрын
@@geoffrobson2493 me, other fans, yngwie and the conductor all know this. Of course they are! Everyone knows this. Nevertheless. He's a top 10 guitarist of all time easily. Some would say 5 or even 3. I played 5 instruments and went to a music conservatory. He can't do what they can on technical classical, but they can't do what he does on guitar. No disrespect for the orchestra. Respect for both for making this happen.
@КалоянГетов10 ай бұрын
Your statement is an absolute insult to all these classical trained musicians. There's no such thing as "talented" at their level. They dedicated their lives to this.

It’s like he is possessed by a demon, his skills are far more ahead than a lot of modern guitarists
@sigiligus4 ай бұрын
Almost all the 80’s guys are better than modern guitarists. Not a knock on the many fantastic players we have today, the 80’s guys were just that good. Yes, modern players play as complex or sometimes even more complex stuff, but they don’t do it with the same casual ease Malmsteen and co did. They can recite their hard pieces, but someone like Malmsteen didn’t just recite, he performed. Threw the guitar around, run around on stage, play with their teeth and behind their heads. Modern guys don’t have that flair because they have to put more focus on sounding as good as they do, whereas the old virtuosos such as Yngwie plays as naturally as he breathes (not so much these days, age catches up to you)
@tumultoustortellini9 күн бұрын
@@sigiligus Then it's not that guitarists now are worse, you just don't like their vibe as much. That's fine, but I think you do a disservice to new talent

01:00 - 01:03... Guess how many notes/sec that is and you win whatever is in your fridge of your choosing xD You can practice to one day reach Yngwie speeds, you can practice to play with Yngwie accuracy... But who seriously have the willpower to learn how to be that fast and also with such flawless accuracy? You will have to dedicate most of your life to do it but who can do it and still have a good life? Life is full with too much fun and other important stuff than just one massive priority ;P
@Blacksoul444 Жыл бұрын
You have to dedicate almost your life to be even half as good. The question really is whether this is worth it for you personally.

He's playing sixteenth note triplets at somewhere between 140bpm and 150bpm (so 14-15 notes per second). Very fast and defintely impressive but not at all unachievable for somebody who puts in work with the metronome, plenty of bedroom shredders could hit those kind of speeds.
