Did he just explain that the best way to draw seven equidistant lines is to draw seven different equidistant lines and then measure your seven equidistant lines into seven different equidistant lines?

I had the same question but then i understood what the trick is about, I will be kinda hard to explain since English is not my native language So, imagine you have a line with 17,53cm of lenght that you want to divide in 7 equal parts, you can use a calculator and a ruler to see where to put your marks but for the sake of speed, instead of doing that you draw a 7cm line, since it's easier to calculate 7 equidistant points, you put a mark every cm and then proceed to connect the diagonal line the way Exal explained and you're done I think the trick is better for analog means than digital, but yeah thats kinda it

Why divide a diagonal line into seven pieces and connect it to the vertical rather than divide the vertical directly?

Because you already decided where the start and end points of the vertical line are, so if you try to divide it you might not end up with the right divisions

Hi! This was very helpful when drawing one of my ocs. I was wondering if you had any child/age difference anatomy videos? I want to try drawing one of my younger ocs but I have no clue how to shrink down the proportions properly. I tried searching up references on Pinterest before very quickly realizing that they block searches related to children. I understand why they do that but it’s just a bit frustrating trying to figure anatomy out without references. Do you just scale them down? Does the head stay the same size? How do you draw a younger face/head? I just can’t figure it out. I have similar issues with drawing more elderly characters since I don’t understand how exactly their muscles decay and such. Anyways, thanks for the video!
