Did it today, it still works. If anybody have problem, that mission starts after you exit the director mode, you just have to be faster with killing yourself with c4. When it says mission failed while you didnt have the starting cutscene, you did it.

14:05 all right after i struggled for a good 30 minutes for those it didn't work for them ( i did try this in old gen idk about next gen) so you do what viper did but when you go back to Cletus you start mission without spamming director mode and after you enter the mission blow up cletus and exit the mission and do same thing( pause the game and go to game and replay strange and freaks....) and it should be fixed but you have to be quick when you exiting the director mode

You absolutely could in theory but I didn’t for 2 reasons. 1) Matt outlined the problem asking for the same number each time so that was the problem that was solved. 2) Including another variable almost always makes the problem harder to solve. In this case, allowing the number of Cs to vary after each B makes finding a closed form for the constraint condition (equation 16) harder, let alone then solving the resulting problem. I did look into this briefly but quickly abandoned the pursuit due to the complexity. (Also, it tends be to case that optimal solutions are closely related to symmetrical solutions (for an appropriate definition of symmetry, given the problem setup - in this case, the number of Cs after each B). This is in no way a proof that this problem would admit such a symmetrical solution as most optimal, but more a heuristic to justify me not spending the time to solve the more general problem.)

The Cletus mission is quite finicky, but it does in fact work. Have been trying for hours, but I was able to do it twice. It seems like it's either a distance thing or just being able to spam into director mode, and then sticky bomb yourself at the right moment when the camera pans towards Cletus as you load back in. To say that it's fake is false. But it is indeed a bit tricky to get it to work.

I tried Trevor method and it’s working fine. For those of you that are getting the message “cannot access director mode while on a mission”, or something like that, remember, when you load the game, go to the menu and select repeat strangers and freaks, if you don’t do that before driving away for the mission to respawn, when you come back it will tell you that message. Even if the bomb explodes Trevor doesn't die for some reason.but I found a glitch in Tonya mission in which I can play as Michael and do the glitch after unlocking Michael. I'm trying the same Michael glitch with trevor later in the game with the other Tonya missions but it didn't work so far..

Leave the area until a (?) symbol appears, then come back. 3. Park your car halfway on the road and the other on the sidewalk between the two poles that are close together. 4. Continue from 6:02 For Cletus mission on console: 1. Save your game near Cletus. 2. Then load your saved game. 3. Once loaded in open the menu: **Game > Replay Stranger and Freaks > Choose a mission** (Decline the alert). 4. Drive away until you see a (?) on the map, then drive back while having the interaction menu up(best done in a car). 5. Stop in the middle of the road next to Cletus. 6. Get out of your vehicle and spam Director Mode. 7. Return to Story Mode and quickly explode yourself. Notes:If you finished dupping your money and you quit the mission you don't have to save and reload your save just continue from step 3. 2.There is this weird state ware you can't switch characters or do anything really reload your save or switch to online. Be sure to save your game every time you try this. If not, you could lose money. Like if this helped

Awesome speedrun and thank you for finding a similar and simple method for console players. However, I have found another method to achieve this money dupe with both Michael and Trevor using any of Tonya's Tow Truck missions (Credit: @Kirbobish). Hopefully the following makes sense for those who want to know: Step 1: Do the glitch shown in this video (where you're simultaneously in and out of the mission) Step 2: Drive to the tow truck with Tonya Step 3: Get into the tow truck before Tonya (this is easy as she does walk slowly) Step 4: (I usually wait until Franklin starts the engine of the tow truck - don't know if you have to) and switch characters to either Michael or Trevor Step 5: When the game is loading into the selected character it will mission fail and say that Tonya was abandoned - ignore this as it is normal and press Retry Step 6: The game should spawn you at the beginning of the mission as whatever character you chose - sometimes this doesn't happen and you will respawn as Franklin, so keep retrying (for me it didn't work the first time but did the second time - so just be patient with it) Step 7: Begin buying stocks and mission failing (essentially just follow the rest of the glitch shown in this video - the money duping) Thanks again to @Kirbobish for this method! I’m not sure if I’m just not timing it correctly or if I’m not standing far enough away but as soon as I exit director mode it starts the mission and I can’t detonate my sticky bomb before getting sucked into the cutscene did they change how you have to do it or is it just a skill issue

The Tanya shit doesn’t work or you missed critical detail. Did literally everything you said and it is insta sending me into the mission when I exit director mode before I can blow myself up

"Fixed"I can't get into director mode as Trevor :( .... I just cant enter it fast enough .... I got it, dont use a taxi , and try knock cletus over very slowly then get out and enter director mode quickly then wait for the mission to start before blowing yourself up

​@@xEinvaldxthere's a guy who made a video in one of the other comments. Basically just kill cletus first instead and then follow Mattos instructions. Save, load, Strangers and Freaks alert, etc. Thats how I got mine to work.

But every time I try to get inside director mod with Trevor the tilles me that I can't enter the director mod while in mission.(And yes I did everything you Said) What I am trying to say is that if I get close the game blocks me and if I do it too early I just go too director mod please help.

It worked for me with tonya, but im having troubles with cletus, it wont let me enter in director mode. Worked the first time, but i cant make it work anymore for some reason

it's a distance thing with Cletus, try entering director mode a bit on the road side, and really spam enter ​@@srgato04

Dunno who will see this or if it will even help, but this glitch works on ps4. Ive gotten the glitch to work with pulling favors, but for whatever reason, it doesnt give me enough time enter director mode on target practice. Director mode is blocked out, prompting that i cant enter director mode while im in a mission, which was not the case with pulling favors....... Have no idea why, does anybody??
