Additional fun fact about the restricted air space above the golf course: Way back in the day when the game first came out, you wouldn't just get a wanted level for flying above it, but you would actually be shot down just like at the military base. They must have a top secret lab under the golf course or something lmao

It's an interesting touch too because real golf courses actually do have a low restricted airspace, if you've ever seen how high a golfball can be hit with a decent driver, they can do some damage. Edit: now I couldn't find any info to back this up but I'll add it anyways, my uncle overheard this and mentioned that he once heard the Goodyear blimp got a window busted out by a ball when flying over a golf course lol

The main thing that bothers me is you can remain out of view for a good while and hide behind a building nowhere near where you were last spotted, and they will *always* get out of their cars and run directly to where you are, but if you so much as drive a few meters into a small train tunnel despite having been seen literally enter it, they will have absolutely no clue where you went and eventually give up the chase.

Back in the older GTA versions, not the REALLY old top down versions, but the 3D ones, going to your safe house was a key way of getting rid of police. Saving (or in this case sleeping) was well known to people who played all the old GTA's prior to GTA V. If you only started playing in GTA V, it's understandable you might not know of this previously key mechanic, as it's less important now.

In GTA Online, my favorite spot to make a "last stand" is at the bottom of the stairs at the subway entrance in Little Seoul. The cops can't get to you unless they go down the stairs, and they can't shoot while doing that. It's the perfect place to funnel them in and take them out. If you want to escape, just head further into the tunnels.

i usually go for the tunnel that Micheal uses to escape during the jewelry heist that gets Trevor onto him. put a car with a good trunk on the corner, take cover, and most of the shots they take can't reach you.

In single player I done last stands on the roof of the hospital with the helipads, on the train, in the control tower of Trevor's airfield, at the airport (in a tank), at humane labs (also in a tank), and in 3 locations where you can glitch inside structures.

My biggest complaint with the cops in GTA V is how they get applied to the player. It feels less like "I got caught doing something wrong" and more like "I reached my crime threshold and the game is gonna spawn cops any second now". GTA IV while excessive at times really managed to feel more "realistic" or at least believable. It feels like cops are never patrolling in GTA V and their interactions with NPCs are extremely limited compared to IV. Like a lot of features it just feels like a worse and more forgiving version of what we already had in IV.

You can also instantly wipe your wanted level by entering the interior of an MOC, Avenger or Terrorbyte, that you can call in wherever you are. Super useful.

I think the cops that chase Trevor when you load in as him aren't armed so the player isn't shot up before they can escape them. R* presumes that you would just drive away from them and easily lose the wanted level.

I have a theory of this 0:41: rockstar north is a somewhat large team. Possibly a developer for the epsilon side mission simply chose to write rating, whereas the other “wanted level” texts were written by other developers. I’ve seen other inconsistencies like this.

The horn when shooting a cop is actually accurate to real life, the ems horn is part of the whelen horn. Most ems vehicles still do have a regular car horn on the wheel

As a curiosity the little variety that rockstar has given to the police. There are several police departments LSPD, LSSD, SAPD, SASPR, SASPA, FIB, IAA. Only to be used in story mode or in missions, they will rarely appear on the map. Except for the SASPA that will appear more than three in the prison.

One of the main things I learned about cops in this game, during missions in or near the city where it’s hard to get away from a certain wanted level, find the train tracks and get to one of the underground tunnels and chill, sometimes they go down there after you but if you kill them a few times they stop going down and cannot find you for some reason lol

I always lose the cops in the train tunnels and the sewage tunnels. Every time my friends and I do the casino heist, we use the sewage tunnels and get away.

Usually the train/trolley tunnels are the ones I go for because I don’t even have to look at the map anymore lol this games been out too long I cannot wait for GTAVI!!! Hopefully it’s a decent one with a strong story and a fun online and I pray that it won’t be ruined on pc right away. I can only play online in private servers and even then it’s dangerous.

Due to the fact that if you kill a cop in his car, the horn being different is quiet realistic. Most patrol cars have it’s standard horn, but only if you manually press the air horn button, will it make the police horn go off. However, if you turn on the lights, the horn button on your steering wheel will be replaced with the air horn.

One of my favorite hiding places during police pursuits is the train tunnel near Franklin's home. The railway is above ground between two double-lane roads, and it dips down underground into a loop that takes you back up. Sitting in either side of the tunnel will prevent police from finding you. Cops will drive around endlessly above you, and they will VERY RARELY approach you on foot (if at all).

One thing I have found out and it doesn't get you any stars - down at Chumash Plaza from 7am onwards just show the NPCs your weapon and chase them on to the roadside - some of them make it to the other side, and some - don't. .....it's also one way to cause traffic chaos.

Hey Matto, I don't know if you went over this or not but if you follow the boat long enough in the father son mission the truck seemingly disappears (may have to use mods to do) and you will have to get the boat to despawn thought this was cool

In the mission at the FIB where you meet Steve for the first time. On the way to Dave’s car if Micheal pulls out a gun and immediately shoots someone Dave will respond “I didn’t see you do that” to which Micheal says “No you didn’t “ and goes on like nothing happened. It only works once tho

7:29 I had a problem when i needed to buy a shotgun with flashlight but i had bought it, basically softlocking the mission, dumb me tried to contact rockstar support for help and they of course told me there is nothing i can do about it, which means they don't even know about things that exist in their game

I don't think that what their support system is for 😂 you probably just got the wrong gun that was similar to the one in the mission..I had that happen to me and realized I got the wrong gun when I went back to the gun store

The horn is different than the one you hear when they die on it, because cops usually use a different horn specific to cops that is part of their siren package allowing them to switch tones on their horn. This applies to real life as well.

Edit: I know that I play on Xbox 360, but if your gun has attachments and a skin on it, and you get arrested with the gun out, the police will only take the attachments and set the skin back to default factory metal, thus letting you keep the gun. As for weapons that transfer over from GTA Online, I have yet to have one of those taken from me by the police. I'm not sure if that is the case on the next gen consoles and PC, tho.

@@mank11nd Yeah, my bad. I forgot to add that the attachments and skins go first, and then these second time around the police confiscate the gun. But you are correct about the DLC guns.
