It takes a very skilled cellist to play and not have the instrument growl. Sheku is as smooth as butter.

Why is this most promising young cellist's career so discreet? I don't think Elgar's lack of empathy with the cello helps here, but we have so little evidence of Sheku's progress it is getting rather enigmatic. An enigma? Elgar?
@dolinaj119 күн бұрын
Elgar composed brilliantly for strings, and especially for the cello. This young musician and his siblings are performing and releasing recordings regularly. Perhaps I have missed your point?
@towmlvb342319 күн бұрын
@@dolinaj1 Indeed you missed my point. Just what is yours? Elgar did indeed compose a great deal of work, but he was a hack and this work could only have been written by a hack. In particular it shows no understanding of the cello. If you cannot see that maybe you have the same difficulty as Elgar. Quantity is no guarantee of quality. In music and other great forms of Art quantity is often used to smother an evident lack of quality.
@kizu545117 күн бұрын
@@towmlvb3423 i'm not quite understanding this, would it be correct in saying that Elgar's works cannot bring out this young mans full potential?

Honestly u should not talking like he is basically from the best music school ever.
