Tuomas said he played the keys but does not take any credit of the song itself. Kai drumms so nice.

Theme for this album is the Great Northern War of the 1700's and Finlands part in it. I think this sounds pretty similar to their previous album Witch-Hunts from -98, which also had Emppu Vuorinen playing some guitar parts. My guess is that Kitee only had like five musicians at the time, so they were all clamped in same bands.

Welcome back after such a long time. This is the 1st single from their upcoming album that's been on the making for 20 years already. In addition to Tuomas on keyboards, this old school black metal band has Kai Hahto on drums. One of the best BM songs that I've heard so far this year. P.S. I think that without the pandemic, they all would have been too busy to work on this new album. which is one of the many positive outcomes of the novel Corona virus with all its variants.

Tuomas was session musician in this band even before Nightwish.

I haven't listened a lot of black metal but i fell in love with this epic song. I also found it because of Nightwish. I'll buy the album for sure. Edit: This single was released exactly 300 years after the Great Northern War ended which this album will be about i think.

Hello!! RIIIIGHT!!🙄, You know, when you mentioned Tuomas Holopainen being involved in this group, I had something completely different kind of music in mind😬... Don't know exacly what I was waiting for but definetily something calmer and more melodic atleast🤔.. You know me by now and I think you have pretty good idea what my thoughts are about this.. Ofcourse this song had many layers and some of them were easier to get into and some of them were almost pleasing to listen and I even liked few things about this but mainly my thoughts still were that they had all these ideas written on small pieces of paper and then they dropped all of them in a hat and then they just pulled some of them out and played what ever got out😅. And 70% of the song it sounded TO ME☝️, (note, to me, because I don't listen this kind of stuff😬), that everyone of them played different song🤦. And even the singer just yelled out some words when ever he wanted😬.. I don't mean to be the angry quest but honestly this just sounded way too messy for me🙄... The opening instrumentation was great but I actually lost the interest as soon the crazy instrumentation and the shouting started and honestly wasn't fully concentrating to the song after that. 😬😬.. yes there were calmer parts which sounded fine but to me this song was already ruined after the beginning and the singing sound was pretty poor too😬... (Don't mean he did his thing bad but I just hate this kind of harsh vocals🤦.. Okay, a bit negative this time but the great thing about music is that we all have our favourite genres😅... And most likely I'll skip this band from now on😂😂... (anyway) Thanks, catch you later👍

Tuomas was session musician in this band before Nightwish (1993-1998). So, he is not exactly new to this band.

Long time since i´ve heard this band, not since ´98 with their "witch-hunts" album, the only one i´ve got with them. Great track, but could have been a little shorter i think.
