I think Tuomas always wanted to do this kind of music and he is so happy with his wife and Troy when doing this Auri thing now. I saw one interview (Kaaoshine?) where he and Johanna tell thoughts about Auri but also comment that NW will be the priority next cause plenty of gigs have been postponed. As a big fan of NW you know how they started with NW (with Emppu and Tarja only)...then bit later he kind of found heavier sound for NW. I do not know but cause he is so versatile musician...he maybe wants to confirm his ways and alternatives to go forward in case something happens to NW. When Marco left he already asked Emppu that is this it...and Emppu answered yes I think so...but then Tuomas found his passion to share melodies form his mind still more via NW and decided to find Jukka for the base. Earlier he has said though that he can not take any line up change any more (after when Jukka quitted drumming and Kai was fixed). Tuomas has written new songs for next NW album already ; )

I have the album and now I have listened many times and every time that i listen,i love more!!! I am really a big fan of Auri also,half of NW band is here, Tuomas,Troy and Kai, how i couldn't love Auri, Johanna is amazing singer and hypnotize me. This album is like concept, the lyrics is from nature mostly, sailing, valley, mountain, campfires and i do agree that has some elements from human nature. Great instrument and fantastic vocals and sounds. It helps me to calm after a difficult day or late at night. I am happy that Auri have continuation and i am sure that every new album will becomes better and better. Tuomas Holopainen never disappoint me and i mean his music 🎶. So great reaction song Storm child,i hope you do reaction to the album also.

I guess this is what Tuomas first had in mind for Nightwish also since he wanted to have an acoustic band performing campfire songs, but Tarja's powerful vocals made him change his mind.

Been listening to the album via the audio videos they posted on KZbin today....its a lovely album, very Auri and very Tuomas, and I agree with you about the Enya vibes on this song (I love her music too). So far my favourite songs on the album are: It takes me places (beautiful song with beautiful lyrics and Johannas vocals really shine), Scattered to the four winds and Pearl Diving...interested to hear your opinion on the whole album once you get it :)

Hello!! Sorry Stormy for me staying away for all this time!! But there was some problems in the family😕 and I really wasn't on the best mood for coming here but finally starting to have some good news instead of things getting worse all the time so now I decided to even start catching you up😅... And then also☝️, if I'm completely honest, the fact that the next video was Auri's, didn't help my eager because I always struggle for what to say about them😬.. You know, this isn't the music style I normally listen and that's why my comment most likely will follow the same pattern as the previous ones😅.......🤔.....actually, I think I won't use SO much time to even talk about the song this time because this style just doesn't keep me interested in anyway😬.. I can listen it, but mostly i just think it's boring🤷. Ofcourse I can appreciate their music overall and it sounds nice and Johanna's voice fits in this kind of music perfectly and if Tuomas is happy with doing this kind of stuff between Nightwish's...🤔... Well, who am I to judge and yeah🤔... Perhaps this was the original plan for Nightwish but oh boy I'm happy that it didn't work out that way😂.. nothing wrong but I'm not such s big fan of this kind of acoustic stuff😬... It can be calming though😅... In a right situation 🤔.. See??😂.... Really hard to commentate🤷.. nice song in a genre I don't care so much😉 Thanks, catch you later👍

Some years ago Johanna was in a tv show where a rapper invited singers and made a song with each of them. She didn't take part in the songwriting in the show, and said that people always write songs to her and her part is to concentrate in the vocal interpretation. (that song was: Elastinen feat. Johanna Kurkela - Oota mua) To me it sounded like this Auri song had Tuomas fingerprints all over, so I think it's mostly his creation, but I may be wrong. It's a little awkward to make it sound so much like Enya songs, but in the end of the day, it didn't bother me that much, because Johanna's angelic voice was the thing about this song.

Johanna started to write her own songs back in 2018 after the first Auri album and her first songs were released on the Altamullan Road album. She also wrote 3 songs for Auri II and I think this is one of them.
