I never realized that you could use an envelope punch board to make tags, or thought to use it to round corners! Great tip, and beautiful journal!

I'm so excited to try this. We are using file folders to make Christmas Junk Journals. You move really fast so hopefully it goes well! This is such a great project.

What do you do if you don’t have the envelope cutter to make tabs
@DarlenesCreativeStudio10 ай бұрын
Trace tabs from on old file folder and cut
@kathim1825 жыл бұрын
Hi Darlene, thank you for this tutorial. I think I missed something because when I glued section 1 to section 2, the latter is shorter than section 1. I made the measurements as you indicated - section 1, cut to 4 1/2, make tabs, section 2 cut to 4. With the tabs section 1 is about 1/8" of an inch wider than section 2. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, next one I will cut sections 1 and 3, 1/8" shorter. Thanks again! 🇨🇦😄

Just enjoying this so much! Do u have any suggestions for someone like me who does not have an envelope punch?
@DarlenesCreativeStudio4 жыл бұрын
Find an store bought envelope that you like. You could even use one from a birthday card and save it. Open it up and trace it on a piece of cardstock and use as your template to make your own envelopes.

does the glue hold up over time? if not how about the double side tape or hot glue..please advise. Great video..excellent teaching! thank you
@DarlenesCreativeStudio4 жыл бұрын
The Fabric Tac glue holds really well. I find the double sided tapes sometimes let's go in places. Have not tried hot glue.

Beautiful project but so hard when we have to keep backtracking to get the orientation correct. Not everyone has this challenge, but it would be helpful.

I was so confused after the first 5 minutes, I almost stopped watching. Then I finally saw what you were doing with making those notches. Then at 10 minutes, I no longer cared. This project is too complicated for me. Bet it turns out great because you are meticulous.
