when I was working at Charles Machine Works, aka Ditch Witch, I got to spend couple of weeks in the test field operating one to their backhoe attachments. It had a unique feature that would allow the bucket to to swing 270 degrees instead of the normal 180 degree swing. It was the most fun I have ever had on any job.

Thank you Daniel. this was a good video. I have an old 1978 industrial Ford backhoe with the old style mechanism. I have Doug septic systems and swimming pool poor people that are reputable. It will reach 13 ft deep into the ground. Have to do some major maintenance to get it back in service again. Just wanted to say again, the good video for beginners that rent their equipment.

That was pretty cool and today's more modern equipment makes it even easier. That little Kubota is pretty sweet. A person could start his own company just renting equipment for doing various jobs he could pick up off of craigslist for instance. I learned to drive on an 8 speed Ford tractor at 8 years old working in a tobacco field in Kentucky. I think its fun to operate heavy equipment. It gives you the ability to do all kinds of things. Daniel, your a good teacher talking them thru the steps i think Weston was a bit skidish, but then warmed to the task opperating a backhoe or grapple teaches a person to think in terms of multitasking using the two controls in unison... nicely done Daniel you stayed cool and clear with your directions. even Emmalee could do it, but Houston would need more groweth so his legs could reach those pedals. I broke out on a big john Deere , big enough to load out 10 wheeler trucks , later on , relearned on a case , last time I was on one , was in a tight spot , using a jackhammer attachment, doing presisision work , on a high dollar , heating and cooling system, over behind, big mac , close to tannihill Oklahoma

When using a backhoe, having all 4 wheels off the ground is the proper way to do it. You have to raise the front end first, then raise the rear end with the outriggers. Doing that in reverse does not work, when you raise the front end off the ground the tractor will move forward. If you have deployed the outriggers first, the tractor will not roll forward when trying to raise the front end as displayed.

being hydrostatic the rpms need to be up and always when you stop it the bucket or grapple goes on the ground, she did a great job I've seen guys (office workers get in machines and have no idea how to start it or anything) I can run most of them but keeping it on grade is another thing lol I've been working on equipment more than 30 years
