Sometimes just having the right tool for the job can make all of the difference in the world. Today I really need to get some cleanup work done and I knew a grapple bucket would make my life much easier. I called GPRents in Davis Oklahoma and had them deliver a Kubota L47 backhoe with a grapple bucket on the front end loader.

Thumbs up to the guys at GPRents!! You are a homestead channel by doing these " ad videos " people are crying about, you are helping other homesteads figure out how to take down big projects without it being a big problem. Not everyone has the money to rent these tractors but not everyone is dirt broke either just because they homestead. There's a lot of people moving from the city to the country to live a more simple life, young or old a lot of them don't know how easy it is to rent and operate a tractor to get those big projects done. Keep up the good work on the homestead and keep sharing the projects. *Have a good'nnn*

Thank you! I honestly don't expect everyone to run out and rent equipment but like you said I hope this give some folks the confidence to go rent something and get those projects done.

Hi Daniel, You did a great job with that grapple sure made short work of a big job. Just wanted to let you know my daddy was the Sherriff of Cumberland County in North Carolina from 1958 until 1973 during his life he worked 42 years in law enforcement in one form or another. I was raised to respect an officer of the law which is rare these days. My Daddy died in 1998 at 10:42 p m which in nc is the code for end of shift. Take care, be safe, and you got it right it's all about family and I love your channel.

You are right about burning railroad ties. I wouldn't want to be around the smoke of them burning outside. It could kill you if you breathed in to much. That is a smooth looking tractor. I would love to use one around my house and rip out a bunch of old hedges. Later Daniel 👍

Railroad ties are creosote soaked, best to not burn them, but if you do then be sure not to be downwind, and remember that the ground you burn them on will be contaminated for years to come (the creosote will liquefy and soak into the ground)

Very frustrating. You could have done the same thing with your straight forks. It's all about skill. How do you think we did it before the invented hydraulic grapples. I don't mean to be getting after you, If an operator working for me did what you did making that mess. They would be fired. Probably on the spot. Unless they would take instruction and learn . If you have a bunch of poles, logs, beams like that. Line your forks up on each one . Lift it and rock it back and do it again. Real quick you have a fork full . Drive off and stack it neatly . Do it again and again and the job is done. Yes the Kabota is a great set up The front grapple is Awesome ! But for the easy and simple job you had . it wasn't necessary.

Daniel needs to do whats best for his family and his channel. I personally don't have any land as such but Daniel is such a nice guy that he makes everything interesting and alot of his subs do have land they need to maintain - i'd rather see something tried and tested in this honest way if i was going to be spending on renting it - i'm sure many other subs feel the same. Not all of us will have the same favourite videos but ARMS FAMILY put out such consistantly good content that surely you can cut them some slack and maybe re-watch one of the recorded family videos as i have done myself a few times. : )
